The FFF gate is between heimlich and the ptflea bumper cars. The TOT pathway is between the outer wall of FFF and TOT. There will still be some backstage areas between the animation building and FFF. The large gate that is now used for the parade at the sun court is do to be removed and basically become part of the Walt Disney plaza landscaping and new Carthay theater. That area will still have access from the TOt courtyard area/new walkway. Also the backstage area behind the farmers market buildings will still be there and will have access gates for after hours. As for the parades direction, that will most likely be determined later on when crowd control issues are dtermined. My understanding is that WOC will most likely have two showings. One sometime in the evening and another closer to closing. In between showings there will be a night parade showing. so depending on crowd control and flow that will have to determine the directionof the parade. The parade route will be a full loop so anything is possible

no the tortilla tour and bread tour are not suppose to close. Basically this is what will happen. The large gates that are east of the first aid station/tortilla tour building will most likely move east several feet. This will most likely require that the farmers market restuarant be removed. The entrance into Car Land will be approximately where the sitting area is and the farmers market restuarant and area in front of it will be part of the maters attraction. The empty farmers market buildings (once proposed to house a real farmers market seem to be staying) The area right next to the first aid station and against the east facing wall of the tortilla building will be themed so that it matches the Car Land entrance. This is where the first two characters will be introduced with Filmore and Sarge's There are ideas for the wharf to get an extreme makeover but if approved would not happen till after contracts with some of the sponsors expire Last edited by Baloo; 08-27-2008 at 10:13 PM.

I would love to see a new candy shop with Ghirardelli as the main sponsor especially since they have ideas to turn the wharf into a San Francisco district in the future if they get approval

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker I just realize MasterGracy has the perfect visual element to show what i was trying to explain http://micechat.com/forums/album.php...&pictureid=431 notice the pathways from TOT, FFF, main Car Land entrance and the wharf (where the stage is now) also notice the location of the main entrance compared to where the original gates are now here is a link to an aerial viewing site so you could see what it looks like now http://maps.live.com/ |

And the Pacific Wharf area is going to be tiny, surrounded by two entrances to Carsland with appropriate theming on the backside.

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Actually notice the curvature of the pathways. There is a reason for that. Those half circles will be heavily landscaped and the back walls will be painted apropriately. the only questionable thing right now is the long pathway from Car Land to TOT. There is one possible solution for that though. The FFF wall can not really be moved but the wall that seperates that backstage road to the Tower building could actually be pushed back and moved east a few feet. also part of that wall could be elminated since at one point it faces the gaden area of the Tower. Once that wall is shortened and moved east the a landscaped area could be placed along the western wall to allow Ivy and shrubs to grow and cover the wall. also at the moment there is a small walkway against that wall that could also be removed and turned into a planter. There really would not be a need for that walkway since the whole path would be pedestrian accessible |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Quote: While we're at it, what do you think they're going to do with that pathway that apparently leads from Carsland to the western "bridge" entrance to FFF? From the model, it looks like the bridge at the entrance doesn't exist and it merges nicely into that path going south to Carsland. But I suppose it could be they just didn't draw it out fully and it's nothing more than a backstage path. UPDATE: that's probably just going to a remain backstage area. I believe the car housing for Heimlich (is that the ride name?) is right in that area, plus it is very narrow.

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker thanks Mastergracy. Mojave, the pathway that is against the wall south of heimlich will be backstage area. notice the gates just east of that. The one thing that is missing in that model is the cereal box that connects the old farm area (bugsland now) with FFF. I believe that is just a mistake. I doubt they would remove that entrance since ITTBAB is going to remain and needs to be next to FFF to make sense thematically. If i had a choice i would reconfigure the entrance and reconfigure it so that it was accessible closer to where the exit is now. then i would tear open the south wall and recreate the exit so that it forces people to exit right next to the cereal box where the large landscaped area is. at that point i would move the large bugsland Marquee back several yards closer to the area. This would leave the large piece of realestate available for an extention of the vineyard and or disney plaza with more California related architecture. ![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker The cars land plan bums me out...RSR looks great, but it looks like the wharf is getting trimmed with no room for expansion. I was hoping to see the rumored Incredibles ride there. I love the theming of this land, and would have loved to have seen it anchored by one solid ride! Actually, looking at it... you could maybe add it later to replase the tortilla factory through Flo's covering the show building in rockwork. it's just a shame to see a good area go! ![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker One thing about Carsland that bothers me is that they have to fit it into an odd shaped space. Of course, WED is a master of using odd spaces. What I mean is that with the hotels and shops on the corner of the parking lot and with the need (really??) to route traffic from the main entrance, through the ticket gates and the all the way around the back of DCA over to DL Dr and then on to the parking structure, with all that, they are losing valuable space which could make for a totally different Carsland. What happens when they finally stop routing traffic around there, after the Poomba lot is build, and they finally break down and pay the hotels/shops whatever ridiculous price they're asking for that land? There will be a big chunk of land behind Carsland that is wasted. I suppose they could build a show building back there or maybe make RSR longer? But it would be nice to have that space to work with from the beginning.
