A film? I was informed it will be a Special FX attraction based on the Narnia films. And from what I've been hinted at, it will be rather exciting.

In my personal opinion the muppet attractions is very outdated especially for Anaheim where it has struggled to find an audience.

I think a replacment would benefit the area.

From what i have heard and seen of the Narnia attraction being proposed it will be nothing like the simple walk thru prop exhibit in WDW. The attraction is suppose to engulf you and make you aprt of the NArnia world. It will consist of special effects and theming all around the guests.

It will also be based on the very popular first movie in the Narnia series.

I have a feeling that eventually the area now occupied by Muppets and soon Narnia, if things stay as scheduled, will eventually become a rotating attraction venue.

Don't close the Muppets attraction before the new movie comes out. I bet that there will be an increase in attendance then.

the idea is to get an increase of foot traffic in that back section of hollywood picture backlot. Muppets is not bringing in enough guests. I also doubt that a new movie will increase foot traffic on this dated attraction.

Also areas like millionare building and Hollywood and dine at the moment have been used for private events and are booked for awhile. That does not mean that WDI is not hard at work finding ways of in the near future bringing in another major attraction to the area which could possibly involve demoliting those structures. Millionare building is basically a shell that was built within a few weeks and could be dismantled easily

Maybe Disney could finally put The Great Muppet Movie Ride here.

Where's Hollywood and Dine at again? It's been a while since I have roamed around Hollywood Backlot (This means taking a good look).

I could have the name wrong, but it was an eatery past Monsters Inc. It is a huge building that is mainly used for parties now.

Now I remember. Yeh, and they could also use the overflow quene of Monster's just before you go inside the building.

If they would have gone with the hanging coaster comcept for Monsters that Hollywood Studios will be getting, instead of the c-ticket they went with, Hollywood would be packing them in.

Well there is about 3/4 years difference in design of the 2 attractions.

Just a note that I don't think anyone has mentioned. Cars 2 has been pushed up to a 2011 release. Is it better or worse that the movie will be out for a while before Cars Land opens in 2012?

Personally, I think it helps the land because it will bring public attention back to Cars before they are shown the land. It may also help introduce things that we will see in the land that are not a part of the first movie (not sure on that one, but is a possibility).

Thanks for that mycroft, I've only been on sporadically recently. I agree with you, the only caveat being if Cars 2 is a stinker...but I highly doubt that.
