So I was a little off, the wall was extended but not to cover any new facades but it now extends the opposite direction twoards Screamin' blocking the boardwalk that is right up against the Screamin' launch.

As expected, none of the games or stores have received walls this time around.

Is King Triton's Carrousel of the Sea now closed due to the walls?

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker

Well, now that we're on the receiving end of Al's new update, we have a few modifications to make in our Project Tracker. The two most obvious ones are the relocation of the DCA Preview Center from the San Francisco building to outside the park, and the exclusion of the drive-in restaurant from the plans for Cars Land (at least from what will be built and open by 2012). Also we have more details about the Little Mermaid dark ride (i.e. not as little as originally thought!) and the larger restroom to be built in the preview-center-less San Francisco building (to accomodate WoC crowds), directly across from the existing restroom.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker

I think the restroom idea (if done right) will end up being a VERY good decision! I am loving the news that came from Al this morning and very much look forward to watching the construction progress in the coming years!

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker

Yeah, that is one of the major killers with F!. No bathroom facilities large enough, near enough. You get the little ones over by the Tiki Room, those in the back of NOS by the train station and those in the tunnel from Rancho del Zocalo over towards the castle.

If they are done properly, they could become a real good thing for the area. Espeically as they are fairly centrally located. They could ease the tensions on the smaller facilities at the periphery of the park as people could visit as they passed through on their way to somewhere.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker

This shows to me that Disney is thinking ahead of what the guests needs will be. It also shows to me that Disney is REALLY expecting this show (World of Color) to be a crowd pleaser like Fantasmic. I am excited to see it!

No, it's not closed. You just can't get to it from Maliboomer or the Sun Wheel. It's going to be blocked off while they fix the area in front of TSMM. You'll have to go by Ariel's Grotto and go around that side.

I have updated the original post to reflect the dates that Al Lutz detailed in his 1/08: Getting in Gear column.

If you notice anything missing or incorrect, please let me know

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker

this might sound like it's completely out of left feild but does anyone know if there are any plans to update Screamin's supports with "more decorative" embellishments? like how the ugly metal supports clearly look like metal when you're walking through the games of the Boardwalk. does any one know if they'e doing something about this? just wondering..
