I have heard of a re-themeing on Screamin'. Maybe since it is outward refurb then maybe it is slated for the 2nd part of DCA's makeover.

Looks like they are ripping out the wood planked walkways around Midway Mania,I really hope they replace it with more wood,I think that makes it feel more like an actual pier,it would be ashame to have them fill that in with cement.

Agreed. It looks more like a boardwalk than a real pier.

I can't imagine that they would cheap out on such a small part of the big picture. They've obviously poured a lot of money into the theming of the exterior of TSMM, I just don't see them downgrading the surrounding area. Esp. when the plan is to add untold levels of detail to fix the park.

Of course, I could be totally wrong, and Eisner snuck in and forged some orders to cancel some projects to save money.

the supports for screamin that are along the midway games will be hidden behind the new facades. The ugly supports with metal fencing around them near the smoking area and in the middle of the walkway will also be covered with decorative facades and lighting.
The gold fans on the coaster are also suppose to be removed and replaced with more decorative lattice to match the victorian architecture that will replace the areas stucco look.

Once the sunwheel goes dow for its changeover more themed structures are also suppose to be built near and around the attraction. There is also suppose to be a small boardwalk with gazebos built around the glass reflective structure that hold the sunwheels boarding area. It will basically allow people to walk around the sunwheel and relax while they get a glimpse of the newly remodeled beer garden, mermaid structure and viewing area across the bay.

They may be replacing the boards, but apparently they are also getting ready to install infrastructure for permanent ODV carts, similar to the ones that are in Disneyland. These will be themed similar to the Midway Madness building.
