I know that construction hasn't even begun on DCA's major overhaul, but I have been thinking about something. What happens if the revamp ends up being a bust? Has there been any word on what Disney would do if this horrible scenerio were to come to be?

I don't know but your avatar shows one of the problems-sorry, I had to

I guess they'd look for more ways to fix it.. or just give up on it.. or build a third gate! (I like option 3)- but seriously It probaly won't happen, the attendence will at least be better than it is now, so no matter what, it can't get worse than it already is

LOL! Very funny. Yeah, I know I'm in the extreme minority of liking the change coming to the Sun Wheel. Oh well. LOL

Yeah, I don't foresee the upgrade project being a total bust, but I do like to do the "what if's" sometimes.

Well they've got Joe ready to get a Fast Pass. I don't care for the change, it doesn't seem to add a theme or any thing - so why waste the money? Leave it Sun Wheel.

Personally I think it does add a bit of Disney charm to it. Granted the only thing we can go off of right now is the concept art, but I have a feeling the Mickey head will look much better in person than in the concept art.

I also think it will make an amazingly beautiful backdrop for when World Of Color begins it's operation. Heck, for all we know, and this is pure speculation, the Mickey head may even play into being part of the production. :shrugs: Who knows? Anyway, I think it will be a nice change.

I just hope they repaint it. Thats all I want to see. And for the flares to spin like in the classic mickey logo.

yeah I know, stupid joke. let's not argue about the friggin' sun/mickey wheel, that's already been done many times on the boards...

yep, I understand, just sayin' I don't see it happening, but to answer your question, if it does Disney would probaly spend more to fix it, I guess...

Hi everbody! I am new here. And I just wanted to say that I can't wait for the changes to DCA. My family and I are Disney AP holders and Disney addicts and the next few years can't go by fast enough.

The Sun Wheel going to Mickey's Fun Wheel will be a nice change. Hopefully it is true that the change will happen after summer. The Sun Wheel is in a bad need for new paint right now! Also, the lights have not even been on since December, from what I can tell. When they were on, there were lots of lights out. Most likely the new LED lighting they will add to it will also help it to be used in the World of Color show as a backdrop of sorts.

uh, it's an idea that I posted, im not done with it though.. I decided to get rid of the sun face and just put on a sun with out a face. And I just kinda decided to keep the mickey loop but lose the gold metallic look. The Mickey Sun wheel sounds like a great idea. I think adding more of Mickey to anything is the right thing. One thing that DCA is lacking is the lack of any resemblence to Disneyland.
