![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker good idea.. That would probaly have to happen in phase two though.. right? because of the budget problems so far and how they wouldn't even put in Phillarmagic. I could see that being a spot for a different type of great movie ride-wich I think HPB desperately needs:a generic movie experience, like how right now we have the muppets, Monsters inc, the animation building(although it's a bit more generic movie-ish it's not a ride), Aladdin, and the TOT... there's not realy a ride that screams HOLLYWOOD! |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker yeah...it is. But I would like to see that building turn into a good "D" or "E" ticket dark ride.

heh. A CM at Golden Dreams told a guest that it would close in March. He then asked her when the new ride would open. She was like.... uh.... I have no idea. lol

It would be interesting if they actually did a slight theming to the inside of the building and with proper lighting created a miniature indoor entrance like the one in Paris. the budget for the temporary entrance is relatively small for that though. I am actually glad that they do not spend too much on anything so temporary but since it will most likely last a year or two it might be needed.

Supposeldy there are some proposals for one or two large attractions in HPB. Where they would go is interesting but my hunch would be that some of the existing small buildings like H and D and Millionare would basically be removed and the area opened up to create room for a reasonable size show building. if i was them i would just go ahead and turn that area into a miniature eclectic movie film studio. Basically what i mean is to completely re-do all the facades starting at the muppets building and all around to the Hollywood and dine area. They could continue the facades similair to the main drag of the land. That area could have the upper portions of the buildings exposed revealing the stage numbers. Then i would tear out the hardly used backlot stage and build a decent size showbuilding for another attraction. Remove the small backlot store that is the middle of the land and turn the whole center of the area into a lush themed garden. Next i would go ahead and remove playhouse Disney from the main drag and put it inside the millionare building. The building is bigger than what is needed, so i would create a temperature controlle indoor queue and maybe a small restroom facility for the children and parents. The Monsters attraction facade would also get a re-do. I owuld make it look like it is part of monstropolis. The buildings are very similiar to many cities in the states. The Hollywood and dine building along with the area aorund it would be re-opened but now it would only be themed to a chinese restaurant. outside of the building. What was once the outside eating area i woudl create small permanent buildings in a half circle configuration along hyperions wall and near the restrooms. (I would leave an access path to the restroom area) This would create another lush courtyard and be themed to represent a real life outdoor film stage. (small signs could explain that the area was used to film parts of Monsters Inc and other make believe movies). That whole backlot area would basically be turned into a small version of a tram tour but on foot. The buildings facades stratigically built just like in Universal so that when viewed from one angle they represent one area ut when viewed from a diferent direction represent somewhere else. Muppets building and the new building taking over the stage would be used to add attractions geared more towards real life movies and the WWTBAM and Monsters their to balance the animation side of the industry. The location now used for Playhouse would go back to being a much needed restaurant. The brown derby anyone?

I didn't think anyone would notice that, I figured people would just make the connection that my screen name is Pianoman13 and that that's a creepy piano/organ. It's neat to know that someone notices ![]() edit:I like you're avatar too, MG! |
