So what does the bear mtn. stay with the new makeover?

since the time the park was being designed, a shoot the chutes was part of the idea. It was going to go up and over the west helix then down with a small hump as the boat came down into the bay. Then make a u-turn and around the stinger and back to the loading area.

That was the original plans for the pier

I'm curious, how do you about the original plans for Paradise Pier, the flume ride and all?

Sorry for the confusing sentence. anyways, I don't understand how the bear is going to fit in all the changes. will the attraction GRR get rethemed as the rest of the park?

It is a completely separate area of the park. Just like Fantasyland and New Orleans Square are 2 separate areas.

I could be completely off base but while checking in at the Paradise Pier Hotel, I noticed what appeared to be concept art for the pier as the backdrop behind the check in counter. On this backdrop was a flume ride splashing directly into Paradise Bay.

I do not have a picture and am not expected to be back until April but I will try to get one up when I do.

well the park will continue to evolve and strengthen the theme of California.

The bear is in the State Flag. Grr is planned to get some enhancement which might basically eliminate the extreme sport theme of rafting and become more of a time specific forest area.

There is actually small references thruought the land about the significance of the bear mountain.

WOW! That makes version of PP looks like so much fun! I would've loved to have a flume ride of some type there! And it looks like the Maliboomer was supposed to look like a palm tree or something. Very interesting.

there is more art for the pier that makes it look evenmore busy. Lots more attractions, stores, eateries and theming. The original plans really made it look much more alive
