I knew that already, but thanks anyway what I mean is, were is the supposed new one thought of going? or is it just the same location and theme that was originaly planned?(hoping not the same theme)

Those old shoot the chute rrides are cool. Imagine if anything like that was allowed now. Lawyers would be having a fit. Those attractions used to have an actual person stand on the boat and then sometimes launch themselves into the lake when the boat hit bottom.

haha, i'm sure they could just make it look like a classic shoot the Chutes ride.

This kind of exciting concept art is what probably sold the Disney execs on DCA in the first place. I can understand the "blue sky" phase and just wanting to put your ideas on paper, but you'd think the planners would have enough experience to know that the real thing is not going to look so colorful and exciting when it's actually built.

There's always a heavily fictitious element to these concept illustrations. I've noticed that the finished product never looks as dreamy and wonderful because real-world materials were used, and real-world weather and lighting come into play, real-world budget cuts affect the final design, etc., etc.

I hope the planners-that-be learn how to read between the lines of these illustrations!
