There's always a heavily fictitious element to these concept illustrations. I've noticed that the finished product never looks as dreamy and wonderful because real-world materials were used, and real-world weather and lighting come into play, real-world budget cuts affect the final design, etc., etc.

I hope the planners-that-be learn how to read between the lines of these illustrations!

i wish i knew what i did with the other concpet art pictures i had stored in my computer. I am sure they are out on the web somewhere.

It even showed a "Wolfgang pup" odv stand on the peir.

Does anyone know if and what kind of transition there will be between Paradise Pier and Tower of Terror and the new Cars Land? Just looking at concept art and maps, it looks like there will be a walkway from TOT to Cars Land, but not one from PP.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker

Laughing place . com is reporting that Seasons of the Vine will close permanently after its final performance on March 30.

    Seasons of the Vine Closing
Seasons of the Vine in the Barrel Room at the Golden Vine Winery will have its final performance on March 30.

This leads new weight to Al Lutz' reports that the Seasons of the Vine theatre is being looked at as the future home for the Resort Preview Center, which will showcase future projects coming to the property, especially the DCA remodel and expansion.

    Monorail Blew: DCA Update
And what of that DCA Preview Center everyone is waiting to arrive so they can see all of the WDI sketches and models for themselves? Well, it's moved again. As we mentioned in a previous update, the preview center was first being proposed for the empty San Francisco row houses, only to be booted from there when the Little Mermaid ride grew in scale so much that it overtook the adjacent bathrooms. Then there was a proposal to house the preview center exhibits in a temporary tent out in the Esplanade, in almost the same place as the original DCA Preview Center of 10 years ago.
But now it looks like the Preview Center will be going into the Seasons Of The Vine theater at the Golden Vine Winery.
[...] The theater will have to be reconfigured to house the exhibits and displays, and it may be a bit smaller than the San Francisco building, but at least they can get this fledgling concept off the ground and open to curious DCA visitors. Let's just hope that DCA park management has the good sense to staff the center with Cast Members who are specifically trained to work that location, instead of having overworked servers trying to operate a theater attraction in between tables.

Here's hoping Al's news is right and we'll be seeing a preview center in the coming months!
