That's the DCA I would love.
I really agree about the Tahoe just because I love Tahoe. But i think Imagineers need to go either all the way California or Walt Disney no in between. maybe a lil California with Disney but still no in between.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker

The new legend is that Walt Disney discovered California. Well he did, he just didn't discover it FIRST. But he did come to California and this is the blessed land he built the Disney company on, from the seashore to the deserts to the mountains to the cities.

It's not too far of a stretch. It explains why California looks so Disneyized. Out of staters must think Wow these Californians have all gone Hollywood. First they elect Arnold Schwartzenegger for Governor and then their state is represented by Disney and Pixar characters. Oh, it's all sort of a tribute to Walt. Now we get it.

The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

Here are some photos from October 27 of the first glimpse of detail work starting to appear on the Toy Story Midway Mania facade.

These images are from this thread: PHOTO UPDATE 10/27: Midway Mania, Christmas tree, "iasw holiday," Innoventions, +MORE

TOY STORY DETAIL MANIA
The new detail starting to pop up on Midway Mania is already looking amazing. I'm already impressed with the new look of the Pier.

Look at the roof tile patterns! AWESOME!

Look at this! Lookin' good!

A new facade is going up where some of the Games of the Boardwalk used to be..

A crack in the construction wall next to the New Haul Fishery gave this view:

sweet! ok so when are they at least going to be done with the facade and be able to take the construction walls down? Because if that hapened they could just work on the inside(ride portion) Im not sure if it works like that but it is looking very nice. good photos too

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker

I like how long the facade is for the Midway Mania building. The length only adds more details to the new Paradise Pier. They could have just as easily (and more cheaply) made a smaller bulding onstage with an indoor queue leading into the show building like the relatively small Indy temple.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker

This looks great, time i visited Disneyland,C.A from New Zealand again. Its been about 5 years since last visit. I got one question are they still naming the park California adventure,or are they re-naming it in the wake of the theme changes and upgrades that will happen?
Congrats to everyone on a great site.

For now the park will keep its original name; nothing regarding a name (/identity) change has been made official yet, although I would not be surprised if that is exactly what will happen in five years' time.
