![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker I have a question: there was a thread with the newspaper article that announced the changes at DCA but I cannot locate it. Does anyone know where it is? Was it deleted?

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker i went to DCA yesterday and noticed some construction walls in addition to the ones around Midway Mania, sorry no pictures. But i f anyone knows any info please let us know. I saw that there's another thread on this but there were walls around the sun fountain in the entrance plaza, and i also saw walls around the south side of Grizzly River Raft, right where you enter the area from the Bay Area (golden dreams, san fran street). anyone have any ideas about the second one?

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker I had a few questions about Carsland that I can't seem to decipher from the maps and concept art. 1. OK, It was easy to see this but, Why does Carland only take up about two-thirds of the Timon Lot? Are they planning something else to be placed on the east side? 2. From the map, it seems that you can enter Carsland from south of TOT, from Pacific Wharf, and from the Bountiful Valley Farm area. Is there is an entrance into Carsland from "a bug's land" (more specifically the south end of Flik's Fun Fair)? It seems that in the LA Times map, the tree line stops between these two lands. 3. Lastly, also from the LA Times map, does Mater's Junkyard Jamboree take up the Bountiful Valley Farm area? If so, does that mean this sub-land is being removed? Here's the map to refer to: ![]()

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker 1) CrasLand will use 12 acres of the approximate 20 acres left for expansion the east of carsland will be part of future expansion for the park. 2) The main entrance to Carsland will be between what is now the Warf and the farm area. another entrance will connect TOT courtyard and Carsland with an entrance on that side. A tree lined pathway between TOT and FFF. Also according to what we have heard there are plans to add a possible third entrance into the Warf by removing the back wall and small stage next to the eating area. There is also the possibility of using the large gates between Heimlick and tuck and roll inside FFF to add a fourth entrance and increase foot traffic into that small subland 3) Maters will basically take over the area used by the industrial water play area, some of the planters with large fiber glass figures and a portion of the vacant areas around the shake odv and pt flea. It will be transitioned into bugsland with foliage and theming giving it a farm like look that matches the tractor theming. Bugsland will basically consist of the area around Bugs 3d and the walkway leading into FFF. The area now known as the farm will be part of the entrance into Carsland |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Thanks, but i better explain myself better. At the moment there are approximately 20 acres (maybe a little more) left within the timon lot for expansion. Out of that 12 acres will be used for Carsland leaving another 8+ acres for expansion east of Carsland. Basically DCA will be somewhat comparable to Disneyland size when fully built. DCA does not need the large backstage infrustructure Disneyland has. DCA shares the backstage infrustructure with Disneyland and has a tunnel that allows trucks to travel along DCA's backstage roads up to disneylands backstage facilities. Of course there is also several large expansion plots within the existing park for future growth as well. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker This has probably been talked about but I just saw an updated video on youtube of this guy explaining Disney's California Adventure expansion and one thing that really sounded cool was where the entrance to the park is going to start, he said it would start right around where the big California letters were and it will be a long entrance kind of like main street but it will be Walts plaza. Anyway I thought it looked cool. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker thanks baloo. So does this mean a lot of the backstage area south of Wharf, Bug's land, and east PP going? From what i've seen, it looks like only the parade storage building and the backstage parade route will stay. Any news? Also, this might be looking too far ahead, but does any one know what will go in the east parking lot?

Personally, I’d rather they leave space to add some attractions to the wharf area and have the ability to tear out bugs land and everything of the farm with some extra space in there as well so we can have a new land could go in there and not have any of Carsland encroach on that space. | |
