I'd like to point out that the Resort Preview Center and the Disney Gallery are two different concepts. Right now, as far as I know, the Carthay Circle is planned to house the Resort Preview Center, not the Disney Gallery.

I don't really like this idea very much. Lets hope it's very, not permanent. Of course why move this from one location to another if it's not going to be there pretty long? I hope the Carthay is not still a preview center 20 years from now.

I understand you pointing that out. The Disney Gallery idea was just that-- a "what if" and not a definite project. I still like the idea, but if there's a better place for it, then I'm for that.
That being said, I don't know what the plan is for the Walt Disney Story, but I would not be opposed to audio-animatronics!

well the Carthay is suppose to be an attraction location. If you were to put the Disney Gallery there it would eventually be taken over by merchandise. Once a building is taken by merchandise it is much harder to get it back for attraction use.

what they really should do is get rid of the mad hatter from the exit of the Lincoln show and turn that large exit lobby into the Gallery.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too Baloo. I don't like the idea of the Carthay being taken for anything but an attraction. Anything else doesn't boad well for its future.

I have a feeling Radiator Springs Racers will eb awesome and the other rides will be closed down within a a few years. Same for the drive in diner.

Does Carsland seem too similar to Frontierland to anybody else?

The drive in diner is on hold for the forseeable future anyway.

No, not really. Other than the simmilarity in the cliffs of RSR to BTMRR, I don't think there's really much simmilarity.

i'm sorry that we're on the carsland subject, but with the new Hollywoodland, from some concept art and the news of a grander Hyperion Theater entrance, is the mural on the Hyperion building (the one with the sky, clouds, and what looks like a long street) going to be removed?

If this concept rendering becomes a reality, then yes -- the big sky background and the forced-perspective street scene will move on to YesterAdventure in the near future.

I believe in an old article Al said that plans for phase 2 have included major upgrades to the Hyperion facade, but I don't think any of that has been exactly finalized. I think they also recently expanded the scope of work that will be done to HPB/HL within phase 1, so it's possible that that will be done even sooner rather than later. In any case, I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume that the fake street mural will be removed at some point during the work.
