I thought they were going to be using it longer as a prize still for the Magical Celebrations or whatever that new campaign they're starting next year.

Yeah, I commented on it for sure. I thought it would be a decent idea until a film or other more permanent attraction could go in. I think as long as it's a real building and not a facade (which is what it is likely to be) they can put in something like the gallery which has low operating costs.

I do think that the Disney Gallery would be a good addition to DCA. Not to sound negative, but the whole point of the additions/renovations to DCA are for the sole purpose of the park needing all the help it can get. Hence a lot of the fixes being overly-romanticized. I can think of nothing better than one of guests' favorite shops. It doesn't have to be at the Carthay theatre, but I think if they're not planning to return the Dream Suite back to it's original tenant, then it's something they could consider.

well they do keep a core group of WDI at all times, it is just not practical to keep around a hundred or more people on the payroll after major projects are done. As soon as new projects are being considered people the needed amount of people are briught back to work on that project

Actually, the latest rumor is that they are going to move the resort preview center to the Carthay once it's done. No idea where the new gallery will go, but I've heard rumors of a couple possible Mainstreet locations, but I don't think anything's been decided on that. I guess it could go into Seasons of the Vine after the preview center moves too. Not sure if they want it in DL or DCA though.

should had read this first before i posted. I really believe the best location would be to remove Mad Hatter from the exit of the Lincoln exhibit and turn that into a gallery with merchandise for sell.

I really do not see the need to have a character hat shop in a prime location. If they really need a character hat shop mayb e they should consider building a shop in the patio area near the parade gates. Its only a few feet away.

It's too close to "Off the Page", which carries similar merchandise.
Maybe the should move the Dream Suite to the Carthay Circle

they could build Alcatraz in Paradise Bay and put the Dream Suite there.....

I made my first trip to DCA a couple weeks ago, and I really liked several of the attractions. In terms of attractions which are not in Florida, we loved California Screamin' and Aladdin.

However, I gotta say that some of the "educational" offerings at DCA are just wierd. I mean, the history of sourdough? Hello? This is a theme park, guys.

Yeah, and the Boudin Bakery is a California institution. I mean, it is a theme park.
