![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Very true Drum, it is a good comparison. In terms of what's going there, supposedly just a landscaped park like area for the meantime. Eventually, something else will be added there, but that likey won't be at least until after phase 1 is totally done. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker I am postng something cause this thread is dry. I though of something: can they replace the Monsters inc with a west coast version of The great movie ride? |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Probably not, a very small version maybe. I doubt they would remove monsters for a few more years at least anyway. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker The thread's been dry because there hasn't been anything new to discuss. Hopefully, there'll be a lot more to talk about pretty soon. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker I've always wished they would bring back Superstar Limo in a new form. Like a Rock 'N' Roller Coaster type attraction. But you'd need to utilise the Millionaire building and the Hollywood and Dine one as well. Though it might be redundant to have two launched coasters.

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker It would be redundant to have two launched coasters set to music. Also why would it be there? Doesn't work thematically. The thread is dry and probably should be, there's nothing new now. Once the Pier stuff starts happening in the fall, more announcements are made, and/or once Al has enough new scoops, it'll be back hoppin', no worries

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Allow me to clarify. I meant a rollercoaster like RNRC, but themed to Hollywood. But it doesn't matter cause it's never going to happen.

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker My understanding is that the first areas to be worked on will be the west area of the boardwalk. All the midway games, shops and Sunwheel will be the area being worked on first. they hope to have it done by December. I have also heard of walls around areas of the bay will go up to start working on infrustructure and seating area for the WOC show. I doubt they will touch the east side of the pier which include Screamin, ariels grotto restuarant and treasures in Paradise until the west end boardwwalk is done. When the west end closes walls will most likely go up and block the walkway on that area of the boardwalk. This will force people to go in thru the main paradise pier bridge to access to Toy Story Midway Mania, King triton carousel, Screamin. My guess is that once the west boardwalk is done sometime around the holidays walls will start shifting to the east side. I doubt they will close down Screamin during the Christmas weeks when the parks see an increase in attendance. They will most likely wait a couple weeks and start that area right after new years day. Then they could close the whole east side and force guest to walk around the bay to access Toy Story MIDWAY Mania, the new revamped boardwalk, Maliboomer and Mickey funwheel. I don't think they expect to have the Beer Garden area done in time for WOC premier but at that time mermaid will still be behind walls and the entrance will also be behind walls Last edited by Baloo; 07-29-2008 at 10:35 PM. |

It may just be that California Screamin' hasn't been posted to the refurb schedule yet -- or, maybe they're delaying the project. Only time - or Baloo - will tell. | ||

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Master Gracy i have heard the same thing about the actual Mickey transformation. I believe that wil not require full closure of the attraction but might cause delayed openings. The queue and surrounding area is the section that i think is suppose to be worked on later on. so that they do not have the whole west side closed including Sunwheel and then have walls around Screamin leaving only Midway Mania sandwiched betwen walls. |
