So there are these 2 Indian Statues, one Main Street in front of the Mickey Theatre and the second in Frontierland in front of the shootin arcade...I remember someone saying they had names...any history on these fellows?
You can't talk S*** unless your gonna do something about it...
I don't recall if the "Wooden Indians" (or "Cigar Store Indians") ever had names, but I do recall the ticket-seller mannequin at the Main Street Cinema used to have a name and even had a Disneyland name tag on her. Though last time I was there, she no longer had the name tag and I've forgotten what her name was. Anyone recall what it was?
As just a matter of coincidence...just yesterday I came across this old 35mm Kodachrome slide that I shot of Main Street's Indian back in 1981:
I know the majority of us used the generic name Chief... but I am not sure of an official name. I also remember the nametag on the ticket seller but I can't think what it is. As far as statues having official names... the Monkey statue on Jungle has always been known as Bob!
