These shots are so incredible that I bookmarked the thread on del.icio.us (using the little icons under the first post in each thread)

FANTASTIC shots. Do you mind if I use them in the Disneyland after dark MiceChat video I'm putting together?

I have to admit, I got several ideas from Photomatt from a thread he put together last Summer. I'll see if I can find the link as there were some great shots in that thread. There have been several others during the past few months as well, I believe, from Froggy, Jack, Mastergracey, Aniko, and quite a few others. Someone had an amazing thread with night shots of DCA just a couple weeks ago....I'm trying to remember who it was.

Up next....Haunted Mansion, Frontierland...and reefer madness on the DCA letters.

I showed the pictures of the "speeding" carousel to my brother and it got a big laugh.

LDF, you never cease to amaze me with your photos! Those are beautiful! I especially all the wicked cool Teacup shots. Thanks for staying up late to get these pictures. And extra special thanks to Grandma for having your kids sleepover so you could go to the parks. LOL!!!

(Part II - HM, NOS, and Frontierland)

I was trying to take shots in Fantasyland as quickly as possible because I thought they would start closing off the access to other parts of the park exactly at 12 midnight. As I was moving toward the Big Thunder Ranch area I heard

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls....Disneyland has reached the end of it's normal oeperating day...."

But as no one seemed to be watching, off I went to try to get some shots of the Haunted Mansion.

: The pathway behind BTMRR is usually pretty empty, but late at night, it's practically deserted...

The old mine tunnel looks positively evil...

Jack is lit up pretty well at night...

The HM looks much creepier in the dark....

Splash, on the other hand, looks very....red.

One of the other reasons I wanted to be in the park after midnight was to enjoy the almost complete lack of other guests in the park. It was so QUIET. Aside from a few CMs over near the Haunted Mansion, I felt pretty much alone in New Orleans Square...

The Rivers of America were absolutely still....not a ripple on the water. No ducks....complete silent around the Columbia and Mark Twain...

As it was now nearing 12:30 AM, I thought I should probably head back out to the hub. Again...even though there were CMs everywhere that I couldn't see, I felt pretty much alone...

Oh the lights are back up on the tree at Big Thunder Ranch!!! My absolute favorite part of the holiday decorations.
