This engine, ironically, has also been run at DL. (I wish someone had taken video of it...)

I'm sure there is video of the ceremony. But since the ceremony took place at Frontierland Station, it wouldn't feature much footage of the engine running.

Here's a thought... Why doesn't Big Thunder work in Glendale making models for Disney?

Re: The Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland

Just to show I'm not just armchair modeling, here's my Nature's Wonderland so far:

Not much to see yet, and that backdrop is from an earlier project and will be repainted. Yes, that's a vintage 1968 park map over in the corner. Staring at that map and daydreaming is what got me started on my own NWRR in the first place.

Here's Frontierland in 1968:

I find it hard to believe you don't already own the whole attraction; running on a set daily schedule in your backyard. You're the John Stamos of MiceChat, Charlie.

Re: The Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland

Is it still possible to put MTTNW back in place where it used to be and would anybody actually ride it.

Hmmm...framed Lionel catalog art. I guess I'll give you a pass for modeling in HO.

Not possible without first demolishing Big Thunder Mt, and not such a great idea considering the enduring popularity of that attraction. A much better idea would be to build a similar attraction based on California logging over in the Grizzly River area of DCA.
