Let's take a trip to the blast from the past.

How it turned out for the 50th:

The five crowns or "tiaras" and what they mean

Tiara One: The creation of Disneyland is represented by a pair of famous “Ears’ peeking up over the horizon to see the wonders to come. Established 1955.

Tiara Two: “A World on the Move,” otherwise known as the “New Tomorrowland” of 1967, is represented by rocket ships and accented by opalescent planets.

Tiara Three: The beautiful Blue Fairy represents the debut of the beloved Main Street Electrical Parade from 1972 – 1996.

Tiara Four: The Indiana Jones Adventure is represented by the evil Eye of Mara, guarded by mesmerizing snakes. Debut 1995

Tiara Five: The 50th Anniversary of Disneyland is represented by fireworks and Tinker Bell. Ext 2005

I remember all of the excitement of the 50th. Seeing those concept art photos for the first time. Seeing the decor for the 50th. Being there on 5-5-05 for the kick-off. It was such a magical time!!! It felt sort of sad after it ended. The first time I was there after the crowns were removed and the 50th decor gone, it felt sort of bare!

Wow, I never even noticed their differences or their significance. I'm not sure they were ever really explained before....thanks. I do kinda miss them.
