Re: Clock Above Fantasyland Castle Gateway

To me, it looks like 12:25, and after a little research...

    -Walt dedicated Disneyland at 4:43pm.

    -Walt died at 9:30am.

So either way, the clock does not signify those. I'm willing to bet it's the story reason then, with the castle being frozen. That's not to say that there is another reason as to why they picked 11:35 though. But by the same token, the artist designing the clock could have just looked at the time when it came time to draw the hands and went with whatever it said.

Wow, all the times we've walked through there and never noticed this. I am so ashamed. We will definitely be checking it out on our December trip. Thanks!

If you look at it from the front the time is 5:05. The stopwatch on the White Rabbit statue near Alice shows the same time.

Ok, so what is the connection there? I wonder if some Imagineer just did it to mess with the minds of the nerds that would someday come along and look at things in this amount of detail?

Hmm, maybe the time "5:05" represents 1955? Or, maybe it's just that the hands look good in that position (like watches in ads shown at "10:10")
