Nice to see ya over here, too, daddyb!

I personally like the additions so far. They're actually tasteful! I only hope the rest of it looks as nice!

With 'so far' being the keywords, I kinda agree with you.

But everytime I look at this picture I want to curl up in a ball and hide in the corner

haha, but shouldn't Disneyland be given the extravagant treatment? It's already neglected enough when it comes to new additions, etc. Although I can say that by the looks of that concept art, it's teetering on the "French Brothel" look.

    Lovely photos DaddyB.

Wow! My mouth dropped open. Its been too long since I've seen the castle look like this. I'm already forwarding this post to friends of mine to see.

    Matt is doing something right.

I think they're going to add a truckload of this stuff on the castle, even though it's already nice.

My bank's most recent statement included a flyer for a travel agency the bank was promoting for whatever reason, and it included a picture of a group of Beauty & The Beast characters all standing in front of a completely gussied up castle to the gills with a big 50th over the gate.

I thought the castle we've had until now was pretty enough (and I hope they keep it up instead of letting it decay again) but this castle was just plain ugly.

I'd post it but I don't have a scanner. This little number is the best shot of it I can see online at the minute.

ORWEN: We Cauldron girls have always loved Sleeping Beauty's Castle the way it looks WITHOUT extra decorations. I mean, how can you improve on something that's already perfect? All these extra decorations remind us of a woman who goes in for way too many plastic surgeries--only to come out looking far worse than when she first went in. There is such a thing as 'over-kill'.

ORDDU: Exactly, dear. And--since it IS Disneyland's 50th Birthday--we'd much rather enjoy the castle the way it normally looks--with a fresh coat of paint, that is. Beyond a spruced up paint job, nothing else is really required.

ORGOCH: 'Less'n yer the kind a goomer who likes gittin' hisself all decorated up like that on YER 50th birthday, too--lookin' like a cross between Liberat-chie and Mr. 'T'!!!

Am I the only one who likes the 50th decorations for the castle? I think it will look great! I don't think it would look like baries dream castle. If it was, then it would all be completely pink with flowers all over and my little ponies dancing around.

I think it looks great so far. As for when it's completely done, we'll see.

No, I like it too. it is a bit gaudy, but decorations generally are, and I believe that it is only for the 50th and will be taken down after the celebration ends, with they not?
