Re: Do You Think Space Mountain Will Ever Go BACKWARDS?

Actually, my friend once claimed that she got on Big Thunder in the morning and it went backwards! The train was backwards, by the way, not backwards like going the wrong way on the track. She said that when she came back to the station the cast member basically said, "Oh, sorry, I forgot to flip the train around."

I really like to trust my friends, but is this even possible?

And about Space Mountain going backwards (I hate to stray away from the subject), I certainly hope it never does, just like I was happy that the rumors about it having a loop when it would reopen while it was closed for two years were just rumors.
I'm not a BTMRR CM, but I'm 99% positive that's not possible. I mean...why would it be on the track backwards in the first place?

Re: Do You Think Space Mountain Will Ever Go BACKWARDS?

I think it would be fun if Space could go backwards. For Halloween, Magic Mountain sets up a track on Collosus that goes backwards, and it is quite possibly the weirdest feeling ever. Definetly adds a little something to the experience. And that is an old wooden coaster, i couldnt imagine what it would be like if Space would do it.

Better have some hard-core harnesses for the initial launch...

The ride photos would be universally uninteresting.

I think we should have "Rockin' Christmas Space Mountain" with Wizards of Winter by the Transiberian Orchestra (correct?) playing through the speakers!

Especially if cameras were installed at the launch. I can just see all the cheeks being smushed away from the faces...

At my local park Kings Island we have one side of a coaster called Racer that goes backwards. Their used to be a lunched Arrow looping coaster in the park called the Demon that also went backwards. I can see a lunch coaster going backwards but unlike Disney their is not show area around them.

Re: Do You Think Space Mountain Will Ever Go BACKWARDS?

I don't think it will go backwards.
    Also,
it goes against the theme of Tomorrowland.
    Looking forward, not backward.

Sounds silly, but your subconscious will pick up on it.
