Saturday's technical difficulties, parades, princesses, a Seacrest, & a birthday!

This is super late, but lateness kind of fits with the day I had on Saturday. You see, I intended to get to the park to see the Christmas special taping, but I got there at 3pm or so, when it was all over. Oh well, at least they still had a few floats up:

Hmm, those Mickey Lights - what does that look like to you? More on that later:

    ">

And this guy was still around, doing promo lines, and taking photos on breaks with fans:

    Here's his GIANT teleprompter:

I loved the castle, which was decorated, as well as some effects for the stage background:

    ">

I walked around the park and saw that Indiana Jones was 101, and was temporarily closed for maintenance, and when I got to Critter Country, I saw that the same thing happened to Splash. In fact an empty log got stuck at the lift hill and Brer Rabbit seemed a little worried:

Speaking of Critter Country, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Micechatter Adelade!!! What time is it at the Winnie the Pooh ride? It's birthday time!

Then it was time for the 3:30 p.m. parade right? Whoops, nope. The parade had been pushed back to 4:30 p.m., but then it didn't start until 45 minutes later. The 6:30 p.m. parade had strange difficulties, where the music loop for Main Street, USA, was on really loud and would not turn off. The parade was delayed a little bit because of that, and made for some very strange sound effects. They couldn't seem to turn off the music.

    Anyway, some parade pics:

And finally, some Christmas Decorations pics from New Orleans Square at night:

You always have the best pictures, especially of the parades & shows. Taking pictures of parades, much less ones so intimate, is no easy task. You definitely have the knack for it. Thanks for taking the time to do this!

Btw, the Belle in this picture is gorgeous!!

Okay, so since I had to edit out a ton of Parade photos to meet the posting maximum, here's a few more (as a reminder, click on any photo to get more info or settings on the shot):

Your parade pictures always amaze me with there clarity and color. Sometimes it makes me wonder if I have even seen the same parade as your pictures because your pictures show so much detail that I never even notice. Great work.

Froggie must be in love with Parade Alice...

Oops, hope Mrs. Frogberto didn't see that.

Great photos. I was there on Friday and the Ursula float broke down at the 6:30 Parade time. 1 she wasn't talking and 2 water was coming out of the float every were and it got some of the guess watching the parade. This happen at Main Street. I see u got alot of photos with Aurora but none with Snow White?

It's near impossible Froggy, but you outdid yourself. It honestly looked like you were backstage and got personal shots of each character. Bravisimo!

I'm amazed at how you always have such great eye contact with your subjects, especially during the parades.

How much storage to you take with you on these shoots ? I compliment you on your composition. Getting those shots with the parade moving by is an effort!

    They are great pics!

Looks like each character specifically posed for you and just you.
    Nice!
