If you could also stow a frozen water bottle in your cleavage I might just stop kissing boys altogether for you!

    Question Re: America Sings question!

Wait in CoP there was stairs inside the stage that you walked upstairs to see Progress City?

On another note, Does anybody have a map of Meet the World. I still for the life of me figure the whole building out. How do you enter and exit the theater if you are spinning around stages. It is even more complecated because it is not like a traditional Carousel-theater.

I understand it was a speedramp instead.

    Go to extinctattractions.com

They have a while line of dvd's from Disneyland, WDW, even Knotts of attractions that are no longer at the parks. I have the America Sings DVD and it has a good presentation of the attraction, plus historical info with interviews of Marc Davis and his wife.

They also have a new COP dvd due out soon. It is great.

The blinking light effect was still a laser ball effect. The lights for the stage were above the rotating audience. The lights in the ceiling did not rotate. All they had to do was put the mirror ball there and put the laser on it.
But unlike discos, they did not rotate the ball. Since the lighting system did not rotate, it appeared like the lights were fixed on the stage wall. This is an example of Disney magic. Not really complicated, but when you see it, you think, wow, how do that do that!

That building will always be the "America Sings Building" to me. I don't remember the CoP but I sure remember America Sings.

I used to take breaks in that building or the old Mission to Mars building. I worked Midnight to 8 am, so sometimes I would nap in there during my lunch break. Sssshhhh.... The Mission to Mars at that time (93-95) still had the seats and the screen on the floor and ceiling.

We would also have our department-wide meetings in the America Sings Building.

I put up a post last week about America Sings and if it were to come back, what would we like to see added or removed. If you could design it, what would you do to it?
    Growing older is manditory
    Growing up is however, optional

It would be nice to hear all the songs in their entirety, rather than snipits of the songs.

Uhh, this was for cast members only, right?

I mean I would have laughed, but it seems in poor taste for the general public...

But surely something was projected somewhere, because it was on the stages as well.

I could have sworn it all moved and it was all projected, but I'm probably only half right.
