auditions for this parade will be held early next month, if anyone's interested (i would be, but my upcoming back operation will prevent me from dancing for at least six months)

Three cheers for "dynamic soundtrack of orginial tunes". I tend to love the original compositions used in Disney parades and fireworks. The use of rock music in Block Party Bash was just painful, presumably an attempt to make the parade "hip & edgy".

I have no idea how this is gonna pan out as the block party bash only uses three films(the fourth is a surprise so quite) and it takes up all of sunshine plaza so i have no clue where they plan to hold this but figure I'll learn all too soon. Also sunshine plaza stands to be remodeled so who knows maybe they will hold it in a different area.
well thanks DisneyFunGuy.
And yes the attempt at using old tunes revived, was horrible. When the parade came out of the gates for the first time and i heard celebrate, i was like "what the hell is this".
Block Party Bash was a great parade, hated it, but overall a great interactive parade. Im interested to see if this new one is just as energetic yet hopefully not as annoying!
You can't talk S*** unless your gonna do something about it...
I'm skeptical as to how Block Party Bash will play in Florida. There's no reason to watch this "parade" except the show stops. This works fine at DCA where there's never a problem getting a viewing spot for parades and shows. In Orlando though, where it's mostly tourists, everyone wants to see the parades. I can't imagine having just two show stops would be sufficient for everyone who wants to watch.

I'm SO with you on this it's not even funny. I'm so sick of hearing rehashed music in the Parades of today - it can't cost that much to hire a Kellie Coffey to sing a song or two like she does in "Believe" for Pete's sake.
However, DCA did a great job of using a "hip & edgy" piece - that would be "Come Away With Me" from the Eureka Parade - and it was original indeed.

Disney has "Hip and Edgy" problems.
Also, FL has much more sweltering heat than here in CA (you'd be surprised), so I'm expecting the energy level to be toned down quite a bit.
