Love me some Block Party. Just cause it's in vogue to hate it doesn't mean you have to, right?

Hmmm The drawing looks a little Seuss-y (in a good way).

^ That may also be due to the artist, too. The concept art looks very similar to something Mary Blair would paint. It's a lot more stylistic than what'll probably debut next year.

I have high hopes for Pixar Play Parade, I would really like to be apart of this parade and hoping there is some audition when I go back home in May. I think it will be a great way to start the new DCA.

If you notice also, the concept art style is very similar to the style they used on the Monsters Inc. ride facade. It's about time DCA will have an actual parade again. I can't wait to see it in March!

The Electrical Parade isn't an actual parade?

He probably meant a daytime parade.

    Re: Pixar Play Parade

And this will be more of a traditional parade with a few brief show stops.
I heard from a CM who performs at DLR in the parades that there will only be show stops when the parade is in "dry mode". Part of the reason for this, he explained, was that since a lot of the concept of the parade is "waterworks", it'll be hard to have a lot of real dancing in wet mode because the ground will get slick. In dry mode, they will need something to do since they're not shooting the audience with water, so tada! dance break.

I don't see much discussion on here about this being a water parade? It could be interesting, but I'm a person who doesn't really like to get wet at parks unless it's REALLY hot, and I know other people who really wouldn't like getting squirted by the dancers.

the parade route will be marked showing which areas are wet areas. The whole parade route will not get the water treatment.

The idea is to continue using the same parade route until the construction starts with the suncourt area.

Once construction starts in the suncourt the oarade route will be adjusted so that it only travels from the warf gates down to the Paradise pier gates.

Once construction for the suncourt is done the entrance will no longer have a parade route. The parade route from the suncourt gates all the way down to pt fleas will be elminated. The route will be narrowed with landscaping to create a more intimate appearance.

Once Cars Land is done the parade will start in Cars land thru gates directly west of the new land near the parade building then up and out thru the main drag to the pier

Other ideas at one point were to actually reroute the parade so it went thru condor flats and grizzley but that would have been a nightmare

my friend is in block party and high school musical and didnt make this parade. trust me I think its going to be big. He showed me what he learned in like a half hour and it was pretty hardcore. apparently the dancers will be wearing plastic wigs too. sounds like a pretty funky parade.
