Mr and Mrs Tater Mickey Anniversary Trip 11/7-11-9

Wow, it took longer than I expected to get this Trip Report up. The wife and I headed down to Anaheim for the first time since April '05 and were ever so excited to go back.

I became a little shutterbug down there... (to the point that I wish I had a better camera and a tripod!) I have never taken so many pictures in my life.

So, without further delay, Day 1:

Getting our first glimpse of the Winter-time castle, what can I say I loved it.

A Closer Shot of said beautiful castle.

Hopped over to Mr. Toad before the lines became unreasonable.

Me, TaterMickey, having some fun in the Toad Mobile .

I slacked off on my picture taking, what can I say its been years since we had been here. But, I snapped a beautiful shot of my wife.

I thought this turned out fairly well.

Someone needs to talk to the pilot of the Mark Twain about excessive speed.

Taking a break in front of the best spot in the park.

A clearer shot of Walt and Mickey, this is where I was really desiring a tripod.

My wife and I discovered a Photopass cast member in front of the castle so we got one of our first shots together. This shot was the perfect ending to our first day of the trip.

    Day 2:
Today was the day, my wife and I's sixth anniversary. I surprised her back in the hotel the previous night with her wedding ring; it had been damaged several years ago and we couldn't afford to have it repaired, needless to say I don't think I could have given her a better present.

One of the few times I managed to get a descent blind shot of us together... It's so easy to get a less than flattering angle when you cant see the screen!

Getting of the tram, I had to grab this shot of the WoD store.

Then another of my favorite ducks.

Had to convince my wife to do this picture.

Another friendly cast member to take a picture for us, I don't particularly like the Golden Gate in CA, but it does look nice in holiday decor.

The holiday spirit is solidly infused in me at this point.

LIGHTNING AND MATER!!! Need I say more

    Holidays in Hollywood.

I love the architecture of this place.

Another CM shot... I love how this came out.

Do as the song say, Kiss the girl.

    Anyone there??

That's right, Tater "The Ham" Mickey.

I officially have begun to love taking pictures at this point.

Snagged yet another CM to get a picture of us.

Calling it a day, still have to go to dinner, but I couldn't walk by without taking a picture of this pretty thing.

Darn Tram driver, I could swear the speed limit was 14 miles per hour... But that blurry streak is the Tree being decorated.

Daisy 1F!!! that is an insanely long tedious walk, but I discovered my cain resonates quite nicely in the parking structure.

More to come, Day 3, and Back to the most magical place in the world!!!

Looking forward to more of your pictures. This is really great so far. It is really nice when the CMs are so cool and take pictures of you with your camera. Mostly it is just my husband and daughter in the pictures since I am the one with the camera. Photopass is a nice way to get us all in.

Re: Mr and Mrs Tater Mickey Anniversary Trip 11/7-11-9

We set out from our hotel to enjoy our last day at the Resort, there is always a sadness I feel just before we head out to what will be our last day at Disneyland. Although, I can't help but be excited by what will come that night, I have waited to see the new fireworks show since I saw it for the first time in February this year on youtube.

And without further adue our last day of the Trip, back to Disneyland we go!!!

Finally, I am TRIUMPHANT, I got the shot of the tree I had been trying for over the last couple of days.

Mrs. TaterMickey walking up to the entrance, this was the first day since our trip started that she didn't feel sick; we had some bad food the day we left.

We found a CM to take a shot of us in front of the coolest floral arrangement in the world.

The camera crew is setting up for the shoot happening on Saturday.

The castle has had much work put into it over the last day.

I am not one for trains, except this one holds a special place in my heart. "All, aboard!"

The first time my wife has ever been on the Disneyland Limited, I was so happy to show it to her.

Getting our picture taken at the Main Street station.

Our first trip into HMH, we didn't expect it, but we actually liked it quite a lot. It doesn't hold a candle to the original HM, but it was rather fun.

I let the camera take a break for a bit, was down to my last set of batteries, and didnt want to pay park price for some. BUT, as we were walking down to IASW, the most magical thing happened, the lights came on as we were approaching, it was rather cool to be their the first time the lights came on this season.

    Tons of IASW Pictures:

That was also the first time my wife had seen IASW for the Holidays... Her reaction was perfect .

My wife, the quintessential Alice in Wonderland fan, in a teacup.

    Grown folks on the carousel.

A CM got a dreamy shot of us on the Fantasy Land side of the castle.

I tried so hard to get this shot, I will definately have a tripod next time I go .

    Mrs. Tater Mickey with Castle.

Chilling outside the main gates for a few minutes before the fireworks.

Around a half hour after the fireworks were done, I tried to get some fun shots of the castle and mainstreet. I used everything I could to stabilize my camera from trash cans, to benches.

The time is 11pm, and we are exhausted, so that ended our perfect trip. Thanks for reading!

ohh, couldn't finish without posting my pin vest:

pardon the shot it came out a little blurry.

Best wishes to all, and I hope when you wish upon a star this holiday season all your dreams come true.

What is a photopass and how does it work because when my friends and i go in march i want to get pictures of all of us in front of the castle, a large mickey made out of florals by the entrance, and many more. if you have a photopass do ask them if they can take your picture or what? How much do they cost?
