    picking fruit off the trees

I saw a batch of strawberries the other day, and I know there are other fruits and herbs around. I was wondering if any of you know if someone can get in trouble for picking them? I dont want anyone telling me anything. Have any of you tried it, or asked?

Supposedly, all the plants in Tomorrowland are edible. My boyfriend and like to figure out what they all are al though we have never tried to pick/ eat them because who knows what kind of pesticides they may put on them...

I've been tempted from time to time to take fruit from the trees near A Bug's Land in DCA...

But I'm scared I'll go to Disney jail or something...

It wouldn't be any different than picking a flower. I suppose that you need to consider how the plant is contained. Is it in easy reach and in a public area? If so, you are probably fine and how could they blame you? If it is behind a fence or would require you to pass into a non-public area, then you are treading on very thin ice.

But I wouldn't eat any of the fruit that grows at Disneyland. God only knows what kind of chemicals are on them.

My husband has picked and eaten fruit from Agrifutureland. He's still living, but, remember we don't have children. Not saying there's a connection.

I ate the strawberries growing in front of Star Tours last year.

I think the oranges should be fine. Unless it's super pesticided and it goes past the rind and into the fruit! Oh noes! And don't get caught? haha.

You can pick and eat the stuff in Tomorrowland that is within reach. Climbing over fences is against the rules. I don't know about other areas of the park.

I'd wash anything I picked pretty well in a bathroom, even an orange (I don't eat orange peels, but still, it'd feel icky and get on my fingers).

IDing all the plants is one of my personal games. Most obvious are the fruits, but I've also seen herbs and vegetables growing. Thyme, echinacea, artichokes, kale, thyme, sage, foxglove- all good stuff. I guess foxglove only technically counts as edible; it's not poisonous but it can cause heart problems. Trying to remember what else I've seen growing but drawing a blank at the moment.

We always check for ripe strawberries in the Fastpass line on Buzz. They're mighty tasty. Since we're on the subject, can anyone identify the lovely-smelling green herb near the Innoventions entrance, out where there used to be a CM on a Segway? I can never quite put my finger on it...
