Question Upgrading to a SoCal Select pass from a 2-day pass?

    Hi ...

For a variety of reasons I need (perhaps "want" would be a better word here) to buy a two day pass for a Saturday/Sunday in October of this year. I would like to upgrade this pass to a SoCal Select pass on the 2nd day. Presumably this would allow me to visit the parks Saturday, Sunday and Monday ... as well as allow for weekday visits off season for the rest of the year.

So ... the question remains, can one "upgrade" from a $105 2-day pass to a $99 SoCal annual pass?

    Possible or no?

I would call guest relations to be sure. Although if you are planning on going often, I would upgrade to something a little better- the select pass has every weekend blocked out except for some fridays and the entire summer. For 50 dollars more, you can have sundays unblocked as well as a few weeks during the summer

    Alas, the answer is NO!

You must UPGRADE when you get an AP, so if you have spent $105 on a ticket, you have to get an AP of equal or higher value....

If you got a One-Day ParkHopper you could upgrade to a SoCal Select, but that really doesn't matter, since the day you purchase any AP, there is no blockout for that first day (how else do you get your photo taken...

Your best bet is to get a 3 day ParkHopper in advance, use the Early Entry and get the ESPN Zone card, then upgrade to the $149 SoCal AP on the last day.....

    Bummer ...

    Thanks for the info.

In our family of 6 it still might be good to do because only three of us are age 10 and up ... after all, it nets us two additional Disneyland days (above and beyond the initial Saturday) for only $150. This is certainly less expensive than taking another 250 mile trip to Disneyland for two midweek days in November...

Well, if you are buying the kids (3 thru 9) 2 day ParkHoppers, you can upgrade those to a SoCal Select, since $85 (kids price) is less than the $99 SoCal Select cost... you would pay $14 for each of the kids, and then the adults would have to get the regular SoCal at $44 more each....
