I might try and grab a couple of shots of this tomorrow as I'm coming out from the first showing of Sweeney Todd at the AMC.

    In any case have fun!
I couldn't agree more! If they need a clarinet, I 'm up! Yeah, it is too bad they can't move it to an evening performance. I can't make it that early. But I'll be there a couple of hours later. Hopefully someone will get video.

Yeah, anyone who can, get pics and vid of this one. I would love to see this. Sounds awesome. I wonder how much of DTD 800+ players is going to fill up?

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

I don't know if Mr. Boogie Bonz will be along later with a report or not, but in the mean time, here's some shots I took yesterday after I came out of the 11:00 showing of Sweeney Todd:

Before that, though, this is what greeted you on the way in to DTD:

And this is the area in front of ESPN. I don't think they hit 800, but there were a BUNCH of tubas! They were already practicing when I got there at 8:30...

I'm looking forward to a report by someone who made it there in time. I didn't get to Disneyland until 2:30 and I forgot my camera to boot. What disciplined and organized MiceChatter will come to the rescue?

The LA Times reports that there were an estimated 625 musicians there. I'm sorry I missed it.

Actually, the one on California's Gold was the Glendale event from last year. There are Tubachristmases all over the world including five or six in the LA/Orange County area.

As for Friday's event, it was a complete success. Darkbeer was there taking photos, so I'm sure there will be some online at some point.
