    That last minute ride...

So it's your last half hour in the park before you leave and you have just enough time for that one last ride. Which one do you choose? Are you a thrill junkie and you need that last run on Space Mountain, or are you a fan of the classic Fantasyland rides and you just can't live without another flight through Neverland on Captain Hook's ship?

Personally I have to get one more voyage on Pirates.

    Indy at midnight ROCKS.

EDIT: Believe it or not, there really was no pun intended there. Wow.

Good. Like to see those last minute Pirate-ers. It gets slow late at night.

I personally like Space or Indy.

    Yep, Pirates.

In fact, we had a whole boat to ourselves last Tuesday night just before closing.

    Talk about "walk-on"!!!

But of course, Main St was also going to be open an extra hour for "our shopping convenience".

    Not to mention, Disney's PROFIT...

    hehe

Pirates (eeerie at night) then skeedaddle over to Big Thunder (seems faster at night!). When I was a kid it was the Matterhorn.

My vote's gotta be for HM. Or Pirates. Or pretty much anything in the Adventureland/NOS area.

I agree that Big Thunder Mountain is better at night. Most of the rides are more thrilling when it's dark. (I love Disneyland at night.)

Last visit our very last ride of the night was Casey Jr., and that was very enjoyable. Storybookland is surreal at night.

    Re: That last minute ride...

lots of times it's one that i wanted to ride before, but it had too long of a line! like indy (or big thunder on a busy night) or something. then, since i'm about to leave, or the park's about to close, it doesn't really matter how long i have to wait in line.

    Re: That last minute ride...

    It's been Indy everytime.

Even the time when I escaped to DL on the day I was due to fly off to Australia. I kept thinking that I MUST leave now to beat the traffic. But I delayed by two hours. I managed to hitch rides on three different hotel buses and I made it to LAX .....just.... in time to make my flight (1998 - back in the good ol'days were you didn't need to get there several hours before your flight). >.>'

My friends were waiting in the checkin queue with my luggage. They were very good friends, but they were worried (none of us had a cell phone, wow we wouldn't be without them now).

I had so much fun living dangerously.

    Re: That last minute ride...

Usually it's Pirates... but I think on my upcoming trip at the end of December, I'm going to do a different last minutes ride each night. Indy...HM...here I come.

    Re: That last minute ride...

Usually it's whatever ride we are next to at that hour. Our favorites are Splash Mountain and Haunted Mansion though. They are so much fun when the park is dark and empty.

We have also spent the last 30 minutes riding nothing but Star Tours. We got on it 6 times in 30 minutes as there was literally NO line. We were all on first name basis with all the CM's. And they never got bored of inventing new little things to say as we came back through the line at a jog. It was a lot of fun.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter
