My family and I were there as well during the rain. We scheduled this a month ago. When we first realized that it was going to rain, we were a bit bummed. But we all had a good attitude and decided to make the best of it since we had taken off work and school to go. We got there at about 10:30am and left some where between 10:30 and 11PM, and I've got to say, we had a blast! The park was beautiful and other than the submarine line (approx. 45 minutes), no other wait was longer than about 10 or 15 minutes. As a matter of fact, we walked right onto POTC, Indy, Splash and the Haunted Mansion with no wait at all! We were almost able to stay in our log and go back on SM without getting out, but there were 5 or 6 people standing there waiting, the CM's thought about it for a second, but ended up saying that we had to get out and get back in line. But it's just crazy to think that we almost rode it twice without getting off! A few rides were temporarily closed for short periods during the day, but that wasn't really a problem and we ended up riding everything and some a couple of times. The only other thing that the rained seemed to affect was some strands of Christmas lights on the front of IASM and in the bushes were out. Also several sections of lights on the Christmas tree on Main Street were out as well. But all in all, it was a great time. And I know that Al isn't a big fan of the Castle Christmas overlay, but I've got to say, to me, it looked stunning at night. It just seemed to glisten through the rainy mist. But for me, there's no better time to go than Christmas time, and the rain just made it better!
