Del Coronado and Paradise Pier renovation connection?

Quite some time ago rumors circulated about another hotel coming the DLR as I recall and it was believed to be themed to the famous hotel Del-Coronado.

With this, there have been rumors about where the next hotel on the property could/should be placed and its even been discussed tearing down the now 'Paradise Pier Hotel' and to build a new one in its place.

Is it feasible that with the upcoming 'Victorian-esk renovation' of Paradise Pier that the Del-Coronado could fit this imagine lying just behind it across the street where the PP Hotel is now?

    What do you think?

The Hotel Del... which I assume is what you are referencing... is a classic and I highly doubt Disney would be willing to spend the money, and time, to make an even remotely accurate interpretation of it. Not to mention the rather costly effort of removing the current tower.

It would make sense and would not surprise me if a Victorian themed Disney hotel at DLR was in the works. They got one in every other Disney resort at the moment. They should also retheme the Disneyland Hotel so it doesnt look like a bunch of dull towers. I think the new hotel should be catered toward a more budget based crowd...perhaps a moderate price hotel. I dunno, arent the cheapest Disney hotel rooms in Anaheim usually around $250 a night? That's more than the cheapest deluxe rooms at WDW.

Arent the Grand Floridian (WDW) and the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel both based on the Hotel Del Coronado?
