Talking Candlelight Processional 2007 - The Show Trip Report

Candlelight was truly a delight! To celebrate, I have decided to throw a party of sorts: a compiled trip report of nothing but the show from my spot in the front row! So, pull up a chair with some coffee and baileys, an egg nog, or your choice of warm beverage of course because it is mighty cold out here.

First, you will have to wait in line with us fans. Today's color of choice is Silver, as in the silver section in the front.

while waiting, why don't you check out the stage from main street... Don't worry, ill save your place!

Now that our cup of coffee is almost gone, lets go sit. Because you have joined me in the silver section... we pretty much get first to sit anywhere we want. Lets see if we can get a good view of Jane!

How about this spot? I agree, looks good!

Now it's time for the show to start. I can't wait!

I hear singing now... it is getting dark as all the lights down main street grow dim and fully distinguish. Slowly the organ begins and the processional has started.

It sounds like angels from up above!

Wow... as all the choirs join us on stage, I begin to see and feel the magic of this event. Can you feel it?

As the choirs sing, I feel like jumping up on stage to join them! (I used to sing when I was younger... )

What's this? Trumpets on top of the Train Station!

The music to me has officially jump started my christmas! (Don't know about you, but Candlelight starts my christmas every year!)

    To be continued...

Wonderful. I got to hear a little bit of it as I was walking out. I'll be there next year for sure.

Cool trip report, I was in the back and while I could not see as well, the sound was amazing and I saved some $$$. Can't wait for the rest!

Thumbs up Re: Candlelight Processional 2007 - The Show Trip Report

    Part 2 of 2

Well, Im having a blast! Now where did I leave off? Oh, yes... Trumpets!

I present to you, My favorite picture:

Now comes Jane, telling the story of the birth of a little boy names Jesus.

The story of a man, the one who has effected more people then any other before or after... more then any King, Prince, Celebrity, or even Al Lutz.

Now it's time for all of us to sing along... The soloist starts.

Wow, you have a lovely voice! Lets all sing now... "Siiiiileennnnnt niiiiiight... hooooleeeey niiiiiiight."

You keep going, I'm going to sing the duet portion in Spanish along with the soloist. "Noche de paz, noche de amor..."

Wow! That was amazing! Once again, nice voice. You should think about American Idol with that voice.

And as this year comes to a close... we all stand for the hallelujah chorus.

Thanks for joining me. although it was rather cold, I truly enjoyed it! how about you?

    See you next year!

For those of you who wonder, this was the late sunday showing. Your more then welcome to take my pictures and use them as you wish. These pictures were taken with a Canon Rebel XT and a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. Merry Christmas everyone!

Candlelight was amazing again; Jane Seymour gave a very different reading from Hector Elizondo's last year...but equally amazing. Although less windy, it was still fairly cool outside. Still very enjoyable! Last year I had front row, this year I was walking around in the park too long and didn't get to the front of the line. Had good seats, but as you can see, not a great vantage point for Jane! Here are a few pics:

I would guess in the high 40's...cold enough that I should have had gloves and a heavier coat.

We caught the second show on Saturday. What a treat. A truly stunning presentation of music and voice.

I saw Andy Garcia last year on Sunday. I think I liked Jane more then Andy. Still fun though. Glad you could join me in the front row!

I love this picture. I was too close to get wide shots with the lens I had. Thanks for sharing!

I did shoot a video of the event last night, the video sucks, but the audio is awesome, I will find some way to put it up and I will post a link here.

The ceremony looks very special. I would like to see it in person. Maybe some day.

wow, that would be neat! How is the Audio Quality? Where were you standing?

I have always loved the Candlelight rendition of "silent Night, Noche de paz." I was going to bring a camera this year, but thought I would rather have stills instead.

Thanks for the great shots of Candlelight! I think that's a new conductor this year, and I'm not sure I've seen him before. And those trumpets on the roof....that's what makes Candlelight spectacular. I bet it was COOOOOLD! I really hope to get tickets next year. Congrats on getting tickets and thanks again for posting your shots.

I can't wait to hear it... I was at the later show on Saturday and the earlier show on Sunday. Both were stunning.

The male soloist was phenomenal! I'm so eager to hear your audio!
