I dont know for sure.

Considering they've built HCA friendly ride vehicles at the other new rides (Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, etc.) and it can easily be done with the ride vehicle layout they used, I feel pretty safe in saying they will have one.

Now whether it'll be all debugged and ready to go on opening day is another question entirely - "Stuff Happens"...

Yes, there will actually be a separate area where the ride vehicle can pull off the main track and the person can take their time getting into the vehicle. Then it will pull back onto the main track, similar to how Space Mountain does this.

I just want to say to all those who are disappointed with the current roof--keep in mind that that's how real boardwalk buildings look on top. They're not all Victorian all over. By having a large plain flat concrete roof visible it is diluting the perception of detail surrounding the facade. This should have been an exception to the rule since they should be trying to make DCA a superior park. I mean come on, is it really that much more effort to finish the colored roof?

Yes and no. Design-wise, not that difficult. But it does cost money, time, and labor. DCA isn't exactly WDI's cheap date at the moment, you know?

The roof isn't concrete, it appears (from watching the construction photos flash by over the months) to be standard built-up mineral roll roofing over a flat plywood roof deck.

Now once they notice that we've noticed a little problem that will be quite visible from anyone riding Screamin' or MaliBOOMer or the Sun Wheel... They can always do a bit better job screening around and disgusing AC units and vent fans on the roof.

And take have the Paint Shop guys take a few buckets of the plain White Elastomeric Roof Coating (a drum for the base coat) and put paint tints in it, then paint an interesting pattern on the roof so it doesn't look like a big expanse of flat grey roof. Make it dark umber to match the shingles, with a fish-scale pattern and darker/lighter individual "shingles" so it all looks like shingles at a glance. You can sprinkle colored Roofers Grit in the wet coating for the 3D effect.

Look at it this way - the Matterhorn, SB Castle, Big Thunder, Splash, Storybook, Tom Sawyer Island - not a natural stone structure in the bunch. They are all sculpted and painted concrete stucco. If they can make you believe that is a stone castle and granite or sandstone mountains, then making a flat rooftop visually 'go away' should be childs play.
