7-17 "Day of" merchandise still availible

    No, no pins, relax.

I was meandering through stores Sunday afternoon, because I could (and because I was on my way out right after that), and I went through the clothing store on the east side of town square. You know, the one with all the 50th stuff in it? Okay, well if you pass through that to the even smaller store behind it (the one closest to the opera house and hat shop), you will find they have 7-17-05 dated merchandise in there. All they have left are those white women's t-shirts (serves them right for making something that small!), the shot glass (excuse me, the "toothpick holder"), and, and this is the good one: the coffee mug. The beautiful blue coffee mugs.

    Thought you oughta know.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Re: 7-17 "Day of" merchandise still availible

My personal rant !!! Why are they still selling it? I thought of the whole idea of "Day OF" merchandise, was that it was exclusive to those who were there. I know that there are some who will buy off Ebay, who were not at the park on 7-17-05. I just know that for me, if I wasn't there, I wouldn't want it. I was disappointed that the merchandise didn't say "I was there..." but that is another whole tangent. When I bought my stuff at Star Trader, I even asked the CM, "what if you don't sell all of this today?" "Oh, we will just sell it at the Park until it is all gone" My reply to her "Doesn't that defeat the purpose of "Day Of". She just shrugged her shoulders and said "Oh well"
OK, my 2 cents worth, off the soapbox-have a nice day

There are still tons of those shirts at Company D also, proabably the warehouse outlet too! The thing is (what I heard anyway) is that Disneyland ordered 18000 shirts. Heard that Star Trader only sold 18 that day, so there is an abundance of shirts out there! They should have just given them away that day!

I was going to buy one of the blue shirts, when I stopped by that little shop later in the day, but I saw the abundance of the white shirts and picked up one instead. I bought an XL, I hope it shrinks a little... I really regret not getting a keychain when I get the chance. I think I will try DelivEARS and see if they're still available.

I don't get the big deal. I might buy a 'day of' shirt because I didn't get to go. So what if I didn't get it on the 17th?

By the way they're not at the outlet store because I was there last weekend.. anyone know any other places to go and look outside of the parks?

Wolfy: 18,000 of the blue shirts or those awful white ones?

Serves them right. You'd think one look at the people IN the parks would lead them to cut shirts a little larger. The XL in those white ones wouldn't fit a large 10 year old!

Hey I wear the same size t-shirt as most three year olds so I don't think I'll mind the white shirts from what I've heard about them lol.

So is it true that the keychains & magnets were pulled on 7/17 because of the spelling error on the back ("Happies" instead of "Happiest")? The error part is true (I just looked at the back of my keychain), but I don't know if it was just a rumor that they were pulled from the shelves and sales halted that day.

What did the white shirts look like? I got one of the dated blue ones in that same shop, tucked away behind all the un-dated 50th stuff.

Is it on the magnets too? Drat, now I have to check mine! That reminds me of the display plate the sold like 5 years ago, on the back it said, "for display puposes only"
