A trip to the Park on Walt's birthday (12/5) before the rain comes.

I have been wanting to drop by Disneyland since all the Christmas decorations have gone up and yesterday was the first chance I had. I also upgraded my AP to Deluxe

Took a few random shots and will put them in categories.

First off went to see Big Thunder Ranch and Santa's Reindeer.

What his reindeer like to eat. I thought these were very cute.

Next up, characters that were out and about

I got a kick out of the expression on the middle girl's face

    Mickeys' a toe tapper

This next character was so nice. I was having trouble getting Minnie's photo. Because of the delay my camera has with flash pictures, every time I snapped the photo someone walked in front of me. She noticed this and stepped to the side, pointed at me and posed. Thank you Minnie

    Christmas decorations and the tree

These hang over Main Street and I am a hand bell player at my church so had to get a picture.

    Horse, firetruck and flowers

I like the red and green braid in the horse's hair. He was so friendly and very big.

    His name is Major

My camera did not do justice to the color of these Poinsettias. They were a deep red with the sun in the West shining on them.

    Happy Birthday, Walt

    The castle, late afternoon

I was really happy with these two shots of the castle reflected in the moat and the roses in the foreground

The castle at night. These shots were hard for me to get. Ended up resting the camera on a sign and up against a pole.

Same spot where the reflection photo was taken in the afternoon but now at night

The following shot was pure luck as I was just holding the camera without anything to rest it on. Surprised it came out so well

I also took two videos. One of the castle with the background music and one on Main Street with background music. I am trying to upload them to Google and if successful, will post them later.

Good night, Disneyland. Hope to be back week after next.

My videos are now posted to YouTube

I do not know how to get them into this post so here are direct links

Great pictures. I love the two of the castle reflections during the day and then at night. Your camera does just fine and you do have an eye. Of course I might be a little biased here since we are related. See you Saturday.

Beautiful pictures! I like the castle reflections and the Walt one.

P.S. It's Sleeping Beauty Castle, not Cinderella

Oops. How could I have done that I know better than that . I'm surprised my brother Lost Boy didn't pick up on that!

Breath-taking pictures, I love them all. The tree looks so lovely up close. And those reflective pics, outstanding!! Look very professional. Funny, the shots we think may not look good, end up some of the best! I love the Ranch photos too.
    Thanks for posting Wg!

I guess I just wasn't paying attention. But I did see you changed it and also added the video links at the bottom of the picture page. Cool videos.

Thanks for the great shots, Wendygirl, and congrats on the Deluxe AP. No comparison with the step up...you will love being able to go on those extra days.
