Sad Fort Wilderness

Let talk about the way The Fort Wilderness get rebuild.

Ok Who said at Disneyland that Fort Wilderness watch tower can be made out of similar size and Square logs.

In the real Wilderness did they have time to make all the logs square?
I say not

Walt Disney would not let this happen.

I happy to see that Disneyland is rebuilt the fort.
I all so ok if the log made out of cement and diffident roundness size.
Make out small round logs.

I may be to critical on the fort
so what do you think?

Re: Fort Wildness

Nice to see it back up. I giggle that you forgot the "er" in fort Wilderness.

Now that I think of it. Fort Wildness sounds a heck of a lot more fun. lol!

Re: Fort Wildness

Fort Wildernot is more like it.

This "fort" is a pathetic imitation of the original last outpost of civilization on the frontier.

Re: Fort Wildness

Looks like a kit from the Home Depot. An empty spot in the woods would look better. But then, where would the Pirate's take their breaks?

They should stop taking breaks and head back to the Caribbean.

Re: Fort Wildness

They should do what Disney World did... create a fort that looks like its made of real logs, only they're made of fiberglass.

Re: Fort Wildness

It's so tragic that the original fort from Opening Day was left to rot and be eaten by termites. Could that be the biggest crime of the Pressler Era?

Re: Fort Wildness

I just wish they'd open it back up for guests. That was always a nice little stop in our adventures on TSI. You could take a potty break, shoot at savages below, and even purchase a rice krispy treat!

This fort is not only a cheap imitation, it's a tease.

It's totally a tease, especially since you can't go in there!

Re: Fort Wildness

Gee, everyone has something to complain about?
It hasn't been a fort for years, so this is not that big of a deal. If it were a real experience, then I'd be worried, but unless non-hardcores still complaining, I don't think Disney cares, and why should they anyways?

Re: Fort Wildness

I have Lincoln Logs that are round and another type of logs that are square. They all work together to build Santa's Village under my Christmas tree.
Maybe they found the non standards logs?

Re: Fort Wildness

Hopefully a new wooden fort won't be left for dead like the original.

The executives and Imagineer's, should care. It's all about the show, when we point out issues with certain aspects of the show (in this case the issue is with the Set) we bring it up. Perhaps noone listens perhaps noone cares but us about a certain issue, but at least we get to discuss it and share it amongst ourselves.
We may be hardcore fans but we don't just agree with all the design decisions.
Don't get me wrong, there are issues that impact the show way more then the logs at the fort, but it is just a glimpse into the decay of the show at the general Parks executive management department level and how it has impacted many other departments on many other levels as well. It is getting better and will hopefully continue to but there are certain people still in power that are making really bad decisions regarding "The Parks" and making loads of money while there at it. Perhaps the square logs decision has nothing to do with it, but it still is valid pointing it out.
