Red Face Christmas shopping in DLR

It's the holidays!!! And you know what that means.. massive shopping! While I was at the park, I've noticed that one of my favorite things to do in the park is shop! Mainly for clothes since I'm a bit old for toys (although they are pretty awesome). I also noticed that it's a great place to do Christmas shopping! So I wandered around and bought some great Christmas presents for my family and friends! Then I found these cute red and white polka dotted matching Minnie Mouse gloves and scarf! At first I bought them for my younger sister (18 years old..fashion design major...loves polka dots) but I grew to love them (and need them because night time was freezing!). While I got everyone else on my list something from the park, I still need to get my sister something. Sighhhhh

Soooo... I was just wondering.. do any of you get your Christmas shopping done inside Disneyland??

Great thread! I do Christmas shopping for my family back in Maryland at Disneyland every year. My nephew especially likes it since I'm the cool aunt that lives near Mickey Mouse. I buy some toys for my boys too but mostly board games themed to Disney.

    I love shopping at DL!!!

We did just that during our weeklong T-Day trip a few weeks back.

And for those Christmas gifts that we couldn't buy cuz the kids were with us, we relied on Disney Delivears to do the shopping for us! The packages should arrive tomorrow.

Tip: If you are a PAP holder, you can still get your discount by faxing a copy of your AP to DD when you place your order. They have ours on file! hehe

    Merry Christmas!

When I lived close to the park (20 min away) every year I did Christmas shopping at the park and in DTD - NOW, I just shop when I go to the park! LOL NOW I just feel the need to go to the park!

I used to do more shopping when the shops were more distinctive, but I still plan on being out there later this week to pick up a gift for my brother.

We got T-shirts for our nieces and nephews. They love the Jack Skellington stuff and the Pirates stuff. Some of our family are getting Disney ornaments. It's handy to be able to Christmas shop at the same time as your vacation.

I was at the park in August (before I initiated my policy of not going in the summer) and I saw those lighted drumsticks, so I got a pair for Christmas for a coworker who did in fact play drums. So I hung on to them for four months then wrapped them
When I go to Disneyland, I tune my FRS Radio to channel 2, without a quiet code. They're faster than a cell phone and you can talk to a whole group at a time, and you don't have to get everyone's cell phone number in advance.

    ^^^^^^

No they aren't, but the other poster asked if there was anywhere ELSE to shop. At least, that is how the Rabbit took it. (and most others would to, I suppose)

Actually, I think that she was making the point that there is NO OTHER PLACE, other than DL to shop!

    Get it???

    No other place...

I got my sis a Pirate's 40th mug as part of her b day pressie in Nov

I got ornaments and magnets for my boyfriend's parents (small and cheap, but unique!), and the "Victorian" porcelain castle ornament for my family...

And POTC toys and jewelry for my cousins, and a Tink figurine for my littlest cousin (Our nickname for each other is "Tinkerbell")

I would shop for everyone I knew at the park if I could afford it! I might have to go get a board game for my bro tomorrow morning now that you've given me the idea.

    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
