Blackout day ticket for New Years Eve

If I have a SoCal pass can I still buy a Blackout day ticket for New Years Eve? Or do I have to pay full price? An do you know of any special promotions for annual passholders for that day?

Yes you can still get one ... but I'd make sure you get to the park EARLY (like before 10:00am) to make sure you get one.

Was it worth it? Was it a different experience?

Just go really early. Sales of 1-Day and Blockout tickets are the first things restricted out on high capacity days.

I was in the park all day long, from 8 am 'till 2 am, and it was totally worth it. Played all day, partied all night. My friend and I got there so darned early, we can brag that, oddballs we are, we rode the Mad Tea Party all to ourselves, not another soul aboard. And we did the same on the Astro Orbitor, at nearly two the following morning.

    Fantastic day.

You have to buy it the same day you use it.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Um. Common sense would state that that doesn't make any sense for Disney to let people do it that way at all.

Blockout tickets have to be used the day that they are bought... so no, you can't buy them in advance.

Go early in the morning. The earlier the better... there's no penalty for going early, but there will be one for going late and finding yourself stuck outside the gate without the ability to buy a Blockout or a 1-Day ticket.

Like Toast said, doesn't work that way. Since it is an EE day, I would be there an hour before opening to get a Block out....
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.
