Yes, with the recent disappearance of the 'pole effect', it probably shouldn't have even made the list.

Here here, maybe they should just level Indy and put in another Pixar attraction that can have fully functioning queue effects at all times.....

I wonder if there's a way to trip the effect without the pole in place...

Well...wait a minute... How many Poles does it take to make the list?

Star Tours is a disappointment for me because all of us layman were thinking they would adapt the every couple of years and get a whole new ride out of it. Just change the ride film, change the queue film and another new ride. The vehicle was indeed innovative but by not changing the ride they waste the inherent adaptability of the system.

Was the system designed to be adaptable as everyone believes? I know that I have absolutely no idea; was this an established possibility when it was designed? It does seem a waste if this was the case. I have heard from a reliable source that Splash Mountain is also easily changeable .

I was split between Indy and Splash, but I had to go with Splash because 1) it was the underdog of the two and 2) It has that classic Disney feel of tons of AAs, musical numbers, and a totally innovative spin on a classic amuesment park attraction.

My next poll will have the top ten DL eyesores. It'll be on that one. I'll be voting for it, too.

You know another good reason to not like F! is that it complicates any attempt to fix Fort Wilderness. (Not that anymore reasons are needed but...)

What is also interesting is that after more than a year of hype about the subs it has failed to garner even one vote. Is there not even one sub lover out there? Did Disney just flush $175M+ down the proverbial lagoon?

Re: DL's Greatest Achievement in its Post-Walt Lifetime

I voted for Space Mountain

Much of Haunted Mansion concept was being worked on in Walt's day so even though it opened in 1969 there is a lot of Walt in it.

My next choice would have been BTMRR only if the last third of the ride (after the final lift) wasn't such a disappointment.

I also would have voted Star Tours if this were the first few years after it opened. This version has been around so long its novelty has worn off a long time ago.

I agree that Indy is a greatly themed ride throughout. I can't pinpoint it, but for some reason it doesn't feel "Disney" to me. The Imagineers did a great job at building it and all the detail. I feel like I am in an Indiana Jones movie which is phenomenal in how it places you there, but it feels too "Indiana Jones-ish" and not enough "Disney-ish."

Finding Nemo isn't necessarily great. The resurrection of the subs though signals a rebirth in the way the Disney Company is doing business -- going back to their roots to create their future (Even Enchanted is attempting to do this).

Splash Mountain -- was a good ride before it got rough and started hurting my back everytime I ride it. And the AA's are too out of place for me. It's great that they have preserved the America Sings AA's but after 20 years I still have not gotten used to the fact that they are in Splash Mountain -- I don't know what it is but they just feel out of place to me.

All the others I could take them or leave them.
