    Riverbelle construction barriers down-Opening soon?

Not sure if this is news or not but after 3 months or so, the construction walls are down for the riverbelle. Final painting is being done on the rails and a sign is up stating they will be open soon. Maybe in time for the holiday crush?

It is supposed to open today as far as the DL.com closure schedule is concerned. Saw the place last week and I thought they were really going to have to push hard to get it open by today. The again they were working last Sunday so maybe it does open today.

Any word on menu changes? What the inside looks like? At least from looking outside of the windows...

I can not say how happy I am to hear this. Not that I eat there all that often, but the walls were a huge eye sore in what is normally my favorite area to take in the ambiance!

    A little piece of heaven

The menu from the outside looks the same, but maybe they haven't updated it yet. Mastergracey has posted some Darkbeer shots of the interior in his new update on Miceage.

Here's the breakfast menu from the outside...

And here's some more shots from this morning....

I must say, it's really nice to have those construction walls down after all this time. The Riverbelle looks amazing with a shiny new coat of paint. (Some of it is still going on as of this morning.) I thought one of the reasons for the refurb was to add additional Fantasmic seating, but I'm not sure if that happened or not. Hmmm...

I see however in the last shot that the strollers are already coming back like roaches. It appears that Disney failed to include mounted flamethrowers to deal with that.

You read my mind Mouse, wish they would really put a cap on the amount of strollers allowed.

It looks great! I can't wait to eat there again -- not that this means that the food will be any better (although the Riverbelle was one of the better places to eat at IMO)

So have they changed much to the facade? It doesn't look like all that much has changed. I know they tore out the balconies and redid so I am assuming that they may have done something different this time around. I do know that the thin white columns are still there. But is anything different from what it was before?

That area was push out to give more room for the kitchen.

Now be nice to have that back and make easy to dinning at night.

The facade was pushed out to add an emergency stairwell for the offices above the complex, actually.

Can't tell you how much nicer this will make Fantasmic! GC.

Going there for breakfast on Sunday.....no menu changes there, but will see if it works better now.
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!
