    21st Birthday with the Bootstrappers

I arrived at my hotel at 12:12 am on 12/12.
My first stop was City Hall for a Birthday pin and call from Goofy.

After breakfast with my mom it was off to the Island for...

    The World Famous Bootstrappers!

    The dreaded Bell.

After a birthday drink at the House of Blues it was time for the Fireworks.

I also got the Light Show on the castle... which I will attempt to load to youtube.

The next day was with some friends...

And not to be out done we joined forces...

    Pirates....

    Because they make me happy

Thats all for now I'll try for more latter

I still find it rather strange to hear 'faire' songs sung by the pirates at Disneyland. Although they don't have all the same lyrics.
I always recomend the Park for all birthdays.
    Happy belated one.

They're authentic sea shanties from the time (many of which you do hear at 'faires'). The band has personally put a lot of time, effort and research into their musical selection.

I'm certainly not arguing their authenticity, some of our faire groups have been researching for decades (I have the early recordings to prove it). What I find humorous is how they sometimes have to clean up the lyrics or not sing certain verses.
And the effect at first is rather like the time some sea dogs were singing a very unDisneylike version of 'Small World' as we set out for opening. It's cross genre music that got my attention.

Yeah, all that music is pretty awesome. The band sadly does have to work hard to keep it generally clean, though they leave in plenty of innuendo. Disney has kind of given them a blank check on their show.

Happy 21st Awkwardpineapple! Love the new Avatar. You know it was Tom's birthday on monday?
