I'll be there, in my normal spot in front of the castle.
I think he means the first and not new years eve. Our family was going to be there on new years eve but we decided to hit up the place on the first. Way to many crowds. See you on the first.
Update though. I called the resort. They stated that they will probably sell out tickets for the 31 of December before 10:00 am. We will not be there until 1:00 pm so we will hit the park early on the first. Yeah.

Reason: spoke to the resort
I know you, I walked with you once apon a dream. See ya at the park! BFA. (Black Family Alert).
Possibly - but don't know for sure. Wife and I were thinking of heading to the park during mid-day on New Years Eve........but if that fails, we could always head over on New Years Day - but I don't know if we are 'for sure' on either day.
We just go back from a Christmas day trip and the CM's all say New Years is even busier!
Don't I know it. I went New Years Eve 2001 - and my then fiancee left me in line @ Coca Cola Corner to go out and stand in Main Street with a couple friends while I got us drinks, etc. Anyway, she had to make her way back in because the crowd was so saturated, that she was worried I wouldn't make my way back.....and she was just standing in the street between Coca Cola Corner and the Kodak shop!
After the fireworks at midnight, we tried to make our way to Splash Mountain - from Main Street - and it took us 45 minutes just to get into Adventureland. UNREAL!
My girlfriend and her family want to go for new years eve...I said I Strongly suggest they go the 1st, but they dont want to listen...Disneyland have mercy on them...
What they ought to do is tie themselves all to the same harness or rope or something - so they don't get split up.
The night we went - 2001/02 - there was this group of people that each had a number...and ever couple of minutes they would call out their number in unison - 1 through 13 I think....as I recall, we made good acquaintance with 5 and 8 during our 45 minute trek to Adventureland.
