    "New" BTMRR effects?

    Hi everyone.

This past Sunday, I went to Disneyland for the first time in two years. Near the end of the visit, me and my companion decided to ride BTMRR since it was a 5 minute wait.

What I want to know is if the avalanche and the town segments are new or is it a product of my short attention span?

I remember the falling rocks since 1982. Though I think they fall differently now. They were far more violent and they got tamed down, but I don't recall when it changed.

Not many people notice it, but the train also rocks back and forth during the incline. Its suttle, but there.

Well, the projector also was not working when I was in Disneyland in January of this year. So I guess it depends on when you last rode it. I remember that thing from when I was little.. it was my sign that the attraction was almost over. I was saddened when it wasn't workign in Jan, but I lived. It was up and running last week for sure though! Glad you noticed it.

Yeah for some reason it worked for the first couple weeks then stopped working for a few more weeks which was probably when you visited. Did you guys also notice the lighting on the waterfall?

It's amazing how just bending the lift hill track a lil bit makes such an interesting effect... that almost nobody catches on to

I love trick track! I just wish it was more prominate on that lift, however I can imagine that it would be difficult to do and keep the train engaged with the chain. BTM @ WDW uses trick track quite effectivly in the "washed out town" section of the ride.
