Quick and stupid Blackout Dates question

Hello all. I'm in Anaheim for the next handful of days, but the computer on which I am forced to use for some reason does NOT allow us to access the Disneyland Home Page.I have a Deluxe AP which runs out New Years Day, and I was wondering: Are the 30th and 31st Blackout Dates for this particular pass? Thanks for your time.

Thank you for the info. Now the debate is whether to cough up the $20 to get in the park anyways or not :P

I know it's more than $20.00, could be $30.00, but maybe more. Darkbeer would know for sure.

It's actually $40 per day for a block out ticket.

Holy Hell on a stick. I think that perhaps Disneyland made my decision for me. Thanks for the useful yet unsettling info; it looks like I'm seeking alternate entertainment until I'm allowed back in again.

I am bummed about this too. I can't pay $80 extra to go NYE.

It probably won't work for you, but if you were thinking of getting a new AP for 2008, you can take advantage of a "loophole", and that is renewing your AP and upgrading.

Anytime within 30 days of your expiration date, if you have a DELUXE AP, they will allow you to renew and get a Premium. You get the $20 off renewal discount, and if you do it early, you end up with about 13 months of a Premium AP, as the new AP is valid once you purchase it, and it will have the prior expiration date.

I have a Deluxe pass and I am blocked out for today. And it's just as good. To be honest with you I wouldn't go anywhere near the DLR today. And I certainly wouldn't pay $40 to experience humongous crowds and ridiculously long lines.

$40 for an all day extravaganza?

Sounds pretty reasonable to me, especially when it's $66 for everyone else.

This has been a Filmways presentation dahling.

Re: Quick and stupid Blackout Dates question

Just got back home from the trip... for what it was worth, it was all about timing my visit to get the most of my AP which expired New Years Day, but was blocked out on the two days prior that I was anticipating going. I've been at DL during New Years before, staying open 'til three in the morning... and that was madness.

Useless bit of info: Seeing as my pass was only good for one day, I was kind of eager to try out an idea. We spend New Years Eve at Universal Studios, cruised Sunset and Hollywood Boulevards, and wound up at Disneyland to procure passes for the next two days, myself needing only a one-day ticket.

As timing would turn out, we were at the main esplanade just around the turn of midnight, and so my idea went into effect: namely I was hoping that the computer system actually ran on a calendar system, and not a business day system.

A bit confusing, yes, but here's the gist: At midnight it was January 1st, and still open 'til two in the morning. My pass technically should be good, yes?

I go up to the turnstyle CM and make my proposal. They agree to run it, but if I got "boinged," as she said, they couldn't let me in. No problem, no harm done.

One scan later and I was chimed into the park. Yay technical loopholes! Sure I spent almost half an hour fighting the crowd going out, but honestly it was worth it by the end. Man I missed that place.

Anyhow, useless bump and update over.

Oh, and $66? I saw the $91 price tag and literally balked. I don't think I've ever involuntarily done that before, but gosh darn it all the Disney company still has the power to astound when you least expect it. I ain't a one-park kinda guy; I loves me my ToT.

Wow... so everyone who said that it wouldn't let in because it ran on an operating day were incorrect. Interesting.. wouldn't have though that. Glad you were able to start the new year at DL
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
