What exactly did they set off at Disneyland?

I saw one star burst, and lots of green flares and that was it.
Wow - so apparently we DID get fireworks afterall. It was three bursts of low-level flares off the Castle/Fantasyland buildings and that was it. Not much, but it was a nice touch.
Shortly after midnight the DJ in the Castle forecourt told us that the "Fantasy in the Sky" show was cancelled and I heard a few people say "Duh!"
Everybody seemed in good spirits, even without a proper fireworks show - just tired, of course. We're hanging out in the Plaza Inn while the crowds outside die down a bit to where we can actually walk in them.
Hope everybody had a great (and safe) evening! Happy New Year! See you at Disneyland!

Atleast i know they had some fireworks at DCA. I was listening to K-BIG 104.3 and right at 12 i heard ... BOOM ***** crackle**** Boom.... lol so ya

Hooray for fireworks (albeit little ones) at DL! Here in Seattle, our Space Needle show apparently suffered a computer glitch so we got a lot of promises for an amazing show with not much in reality.

Yeah, it was kind of expected, but it's still a bummer.

My dad had a stroke tonight so I spent abput 4 and a half hours including midnight in an almost deserted hospital on the floor leaning against the wall waiting for my dad to get out of the ER.

He's doin all right, kinda shakey and his voice is weird but he is doing decent.
What a night!
Scarily enough, working NYE @ DL was even better than being there last year as a Guest!
First of all, we already had to deal with a lot because all 3 Fantasmic! showings were cancelled!
But at around 11:15 pm, we got moved to The Hub to do GC and the energy of the crowd just gave me such a needed push given I'd already been working for over 12 hours!
Nothing much happened Entertainment-wise at Midnight. The DJ did the countdown, but the characters didn't go out on the Castle Balcony; plus there were only 3 little fireworks rather than the usual show. It was so weird because the voice of DL announced the show and instead of the voice of DL announcing the cancellation, the DJ did it after it was obvious nothing was about to happen.
I got a lot of love and hugs from my fellow CM's at midnight and working this night with them, I realized I have a new family...
Through all the hardships I faced today, I can say with certainty that one of the highlights of my life has been being a CM during New Year's Eve...
We made it through the Super Bowl you guys!!!
