Guess what I found in Kansas City?

Okay, just to preface, I live in the Kansas City area. I was looking to do something today so I decided to go look at some places around Kansas City, Missouri. (for those of you who know KC, it was the Power & Light District & Union Station). Any who, I was heading to Union Station when I noticed a new building that had, what I thought was an odd color scheme. I'm examining the building, waiting for the light to turn green, and I notice this strange thing at the top of this building. What was it? THE OLD MOONLINER! I was flipping out. I made a quick turn-around and grabbed some picture for you all.

And for those of you wondering here's the company and address:

It was one of the few times I was happy to be living in Kansas & the Kansas City area. Hope you find this as interesting I did/do.

I LOVE it. I'm from KC too. There are so many Disney ties to KC. Walt's early studio was in KC.

You do have to love all the ties to Disney. Sadly as of right now the studio is just an empty building shell that is barely standing.

And it very cool to learn that the one and only Dustysage is from KC!

I sure hope that if the building sells, they don't trash that Moonliner!!! You should make an inquiry!!!

Here's a link to the story behind the rocket. Of note, the replica is located on the site of the former TWA headquarters.

Check this out. It shows the Moonliner on that building you photographed! It says a 40 foot version of the Moonliner was placed atop the TWA building in KC.

Indeed, especially since I was born there, have family there, visited often and such.

When I think of home I think of Kansas. I grew up in Wichita and my parents live in Derby.

In SD atm due to the Navy.

We passed through last summer (my grandma lives in St. Joseph) - If I had known that was just hanging around, we might have made a little detour!

    Great pic! Thanks!

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

I get the impression that's not the one from DL though, but, one like it.

Its not the original TWA rocket, but only a three story replica. The original was 76 ft tall. (I wish the one in TL right now was 76 ft. tall...)
