    Butterflylark Returns to Disneyland 1/2-1/5

** Join Butterflylark as she tells of her random exploits in the park, the antics of her group, and the chaos that follows**

Now I have not been back to the park since October, right after the WDW Invasion, but when my friends said they were planning a trip for the new year I couldn't pass it up. After much debate over what days we were actually going to go, it was settled that we would leave right after my roommate go off work on the 2nd. Due to good luck and amazing co-workers on her part we were off before planned and made it to the park in great time. We checked into the hotel at 10pm and ran, well nearly ran, hurried to the park to catch the second showing of Fantasmic! We made it into a space just as the announcement was made and the lights were lowered around the ROA.
After a bowl of Clam Chowder and Gumbo we crossed the park for Space Mountain then left the park.
No pictures due to the running previously mentioned, the camera was left behind so it wouldn't slow me down.
More will of course follow. For now we must soon find breakfast!

Due to the lovely rain that has made an appareance, I have the time to upload my pictures!

The first thing we decided to do was Haunted Mansion Holiday.

Which turned out to be the best thing to do because the lovely cast member at the gate pointed out that they were giving away dream fast passes at the fountain!

There is boy getting his dream fast pass (looks excited, no?)

    KindredSpirit325 looks excited though!

    picture of my fast pass

For the first trip of the new year, this is turning out to be great!

After Breakfast at the River Belle it was time for The World Famous Jungle Cruise, and a good skipper!

This became a familiar sight - Boy on his phone.

Thanks to the fast passes - a trip on Autopia

Inside Innoventions, where there is Guitar Hero

    And ASIMO

    Dino eating Mulholland Madness

Boy insists on eating every two hours

    a closed Monsters Inc

    Alladin Show

Most often found at a theme park

Finally caught her on her cell phone too

After the first showing of Fantasmic we waited there at the ROA to watch the fire works, which halfway through got canceled due to winds. But it still snowed. I had never seen the snow, so it was kinda neat.

I love the lights in the park in the evening.

At that we realized it was past midnight and the streets of Disneyland were clearing. It was time to get some rest. End of full day 1

    Day two
In which the camera stayed mostly in a locker due to threat of rain.

I sat and watched the lighting of the castle, just before they announced that due to incoming inclemant weather they were moving the 6:30 parade to 5:30. Sounds like it would be a good idea to leave after that

So after a very wet Christmas parade, which was very modified because of rain as well, I walked a long ways back to my hotel. Now I am warm and dry again.

Looks like a great trip in progress. We may go for it on Sunday if this all blows through by then.

We were thinking of coming down just for Believe "before the storm got there" because at around 7 PM www.weather.com said it was still fairly calm. Fate works in wierd ways, at least you got half a show...

If you have your rain gear you can do a lot tomorrow - bring dry socks and water resistant shoes or boots. Squishy feet are bad news. And bring your own raingear so you don't blend in with the sea of blue disposable ponchos.

I wish I had rain gear, I did not come at all prepared for this trip. I didn't bring a heavy jacket, or even anything water resistant. I did bring two pairs of shoes and my hat and scarf.
Tomorrow may end up being miserable, and wet, but I'll still try to get to the park. It's a long trip, I would be sad if I didn't go in just because I might get wet.
    thanks for the advice!

    Nice report so far.

I have to ask - does Boy have a name? Calling Boy is funny, but I just thought I'd ask.
