The Clinkerbelle's (not so) Rainy weekend Trip Report

We decided kind of last-minute to spend the weekend at Disneyland. We knew rain was in the forecast, so we figured crowds would be light and we could avoid the rain when it came.

Well, turns out, the threat of rain is just as good as rain, if not better.

The parks were TOTALLY empty. The longest wait of the entire weekend was about 20 minutes for Nemo at about 5:00pm last night. Other than that, everything was a walk-on.

Even Fantasmic, when we passed through the area last night at about 8:30 had 'maybe' 100 people waiting to see the show.

We had a fantastic weekend with great friends. Most of which we didn't realize were going to be at the parks this weekend.

We also met some new MiceChatters, well new to the meets anyway. Slim22 and his lovely wife. Had some fun meeting them last night, and then today with the group going on some rides. Strangely enough, I don't have any pictures of them, probably because I was having so much fun getting to know them to take any.

    On to the pics.

As we were trying out our new camera, we took alot this weekend.

Bundled up and on the tram

First stop, DCA and Soarin' which was a walk-on at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon

And yes, I know it's DCA ... but Soarin' still usually has a line. Also, they were only running 1 theatre and were only filling up the 2 out of 3 sections of the ride. It was THAT dead.

    Grizzly with the clouds

    The girls opted for Maliboomer

While the boys went for Screamin'

After spending some time at DCA, we headed for Disneyland

We stopped to enjoy the Flag Retreat

Stopped to get some Coffee and Hot Chocolate, where we met our new friends

    We headed into Tomorrowland

And got in the quite short Nemo line.

This CM loves his job, it's great to see CM's having fun.

    On Nemo

Then a quick walk-on space mountain. It was so short, they were using the FP line for the regular line. SCHWEET!!!

Then a quick walk on Buzz. Me and Belle had ... well, a 'dirty' number and she beat me by 200 points.

Coming up, marathoning Matterhorn, Small World Holiday for the last time and more ... including an equally un-busy Sunday in the park.

So after Buzz, the kids and I went on both sides of Matterhorn within about 5 minutes. While Belle waited for Grumpy4 to join us.

On the way though, I took some night shots of the lagoon since I didn't have a line of people in my way.

    Matterhorn

We got stopped by the Christmas parade heading to Small World

The walk-way between Storybook Land and the parade route ... during the parade. (lack of people)

    Small World Holiday

Best Buds ... Grumpy4 and our son

So our daughter lost one of the lids to a lip-gloss. So in order to find it we emptied out her bag to find 14 additional lip-glosses ... most of which were Belle's. It was actually pretty funny.

More of the Best Buds series

    Big Thunder

After a quick ride on Pirates we decided to call it a night since we were going to meet the DustyFishbulbs for dinner away from the parks.

But not before some Castle pictures

Enjoying Chocolate Peanut Butter something or other

Ran into this guy on the way out and he just couldn't wait to take a picture with the kids

Actually, funny story about that. There was one other couple in front of us so we waited. Well, some other person walked up and tried to cut in front of the kids. The "Guard CM" actually stepped forward and 'nicely' let them know our kids were next. Way to go CM!!!!

And actually, all the way around this weekend, the CM's and guests were great. It was so stress-free it was great.

Left and had a dinner with our friends and then to our hotel.

That's Fishbulb's hand smushing Belle at Dinner

    That's all for Saturday.

Later on, fun Sunday in the park and many unexpected guests.
