Submarine Voyage Ride Building Layout/ Operator View?

Does anyone here have photos of what the operator of a Submarine Voyage boat see's as they go thru the ride building? Or a blueprint of the track layout?? Is that video projection directly onto glass, sort of like the effects in the Haunted Mansion? Anyway, our whole group loved the new version of the Sub. Voyage.

We just got back yesterday from DL - we were there Jan 1 thru 5. We missed the commotion on the subs Friday afternoon, though...I guess someone was threatening to bomb Tomorrowland <Please direct them to the PeopleMover track or Innoventions - laughing!>

Sorryy...I'm just saying...you know, I'm fulling wagging my tail and with a twinkle in my eye...I've been going to DL since 1963, and PeopleMover/RocketRods/Innoventions has always been kind of a dud in my book - not that I want anything bad to happen to anyone or anything the park. We can't have that!! It just seems like even Disneyland Management would breathe a sigh of relief if they woke up one morning to have the PeopleMover track gone in a puff of Pixie Dust <Again, just kidding!@!>

But to getting back to the Sub Voyage: Are there any ride operators here that have some photos or a video of their view inside the ride building? That would be really neat!! Or a layout of the rail. Even after riding the subs many, many times over 45+ years, its always a bit disorientating once you get into the caverns, and I've never found photos online. It seems to make a few changes in course once inside - more than just a big arc - but maybe it is??

There's a portion of a blueprint here that shows the size and shape of the subs building. Disney also released an official photo at some point during the creation of FNSV that shows the inside of the building, sans scenery and subs. It's online somewhere; I've got it saved on my other computer.

I don't know, but in the case of the Haunted Mansion, those are reflections in glass, not projections. The flat, stereotypical ghosts rising out of the graveyard scene by the attic are projections on a scrim, though.

I don't have a picture of the operators view in the caverns, but here is a picture of what it looks like to be up in the tower (at least on the old subs)

Very cool!! It might not be exactly to scale, but it is probably close. I assume the catwalks are in position so the sub can be unloaded at any point on the ride, any idea where the exit points are?

The older blueprint in the earlier messages shows the cavern entry/exit waterfalls fairly close together, but it seems in real life the entry waterfall seems to be farther out in the lagoon than the original.

I know there is an additional "siding" at the loading area that looks to be able to hold 2 or 3 subs, but is there a "yard" area inside the show building to store all 8 subs?

The building was expanded for Nemo. The waterfall entrance is closer than it used to be.

Here's at least one source for the complete operator manual. Interesting reading. It looks like there is indeed a "dry dock" inside the ride building (cavern) but it would still be interesting to see what it looks like above the waterline...

Was the track lengthened for Nemo or just the cavern extended into the lagoon farther??

On several occasions in the 60's we'd arrive at DL to be greeted with an empty lagoon (during a refurb), and it was always tantalizing to peer into the "cavern" openings.

It was always fun to go on the motorboats also (a.k.a. Hydro-Autopia) as long as you weren't older than 10 or so...

The caverns were extended about 75'. The original caverns started where the begining of the EAC is. So anything before that is all new. The projection technology is brand new. You may see the same type of tech at toy story mania.
